@Beaverhousen_ @noodlebrett @WifiMoneyPlant On top of that, I’m making just as much — if not more — than my colleagues who live in metropolitan areas and pay almost double what I do for mortgage/rent, have higher gas prices, longer commutes, no yards, and fight traffic just to take their kids to school. It’s not worth it.

But also, if you can make $80K in middle America and can buy a $350K house on an acre, why make $130K in a major city where you’re forced to pay $700K to live next to crime and congestion?

They don’t want to live in small town America because they think there aren’t jobs and it’s too far from “all the good stuff.” Funny thing is, there’s plenty of jobs, a much higher quality of life, less traffic, cleaner atmospheres, better people and still plenty to do.
