The population of Staten Island in 1960 was 222,000. In 1968 the NYPD had 800 NYPD officers patrolling it. The population of Staten Island today is 500,000 and the NYPD has 630 officers patrolling it. NYPD deployment on Staten Island is down 20% since 2022. This is a result of @ericadamsfornyc fulfilling his campaign promise of intentionally lowering the overall headcount of the NYPD. @NYCMayor Zohran Mamdani apparently has the same racial and political disdain for NYC’s most conservative Boro. Staten Island is comprised of NYC’s most marginalized group, white Catholics. When NYC officials talk about “White” neighborhoods they are speaking of many across Staten Island. Staten Island isn’t the forgotten Boro, it’s intentionally left out Boro and most of the elected republican officials on the island are ok with it. It’s lucrative for these RINOs to play patty cake with NY’s radical Democrats so they can become a lobbyist or a commissioner for them after.

Calling all MAGA/America First Patriots! Republican Tina Forte (@TinaForteUSA) is challenging Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for New York’s heavily Democratic Bronx-Queens seat (NY’s 14th Congressional District). In the past she has gotten 30% of the votes in this highly Democrat district. With Mamdani screwing everything up in NYC, and AOC more interested in other states and districts but her own, Tina Forte may have a chance.

NYC’s diaphragm law was sponsored by @RoryLancman. This law made handcuffing resisting suspects a misdemeanor for NYPD cops as there is no way to not violate this law and take into custody a violent perpetrator or safely restrain an emotionally disturbed individual. This law made NYC more dangerous for cops, criminals, people suffering with mental illness and the public. Rory Lancman should never be voted into office again after drafting and sponsoring such incompetent and dangerous legislation. @SenGianaris Rory is anti public safety.

NYPD Police Officer Gerald L. Carter, was murdered when he was 28 years old. On Sunday, July 26, 1998, at approximately 9:40 p.m., P.O. Carter, a 5 year veteran and his partner were patrolling in a marked police van outside the West Brighton Houses in the confines of the 120 Precinct in Staten Island. Suddenly 17 year old, Shatiek Johnson approached the police van, and started shooting at the officers, striking Officer Carter in the temple. Shatiek was out on parole for a previous manslaughter conviction, for beating to death a homeless man over a $10 debt and was also wanted for questioning in another homicide. Officer Carter’s partner returned the gunfire, but the Johnson was able to flee. PO Carter succumbed to his injuries on July 31, 1998, leaving behind his heartbroken wife and young son. His murderer Shatiek Johnson was eventually apprehended and took a plea deal where he was sentenced to 25 years to life for the murder of Officer Carter. Shatiek Johnson was killed while in custody at the Attica Correctional Facility on April 7, 2026 just days before his next parole hearing was set to take place.
