@toniwriter @KentPolFed There should be a maximum of £50000 pa in any public sector job. This is why the country has gone to pot because they are screwing the system! Police Stations that are shut or part time, hospitals that have limited services etc. Greed is why this is happening!

Today it has been announced by Kent Police that the Chief Constable will be reducing the South East Allowance paid to officers from September 2026, by £250.  At a time when the cost of living is rocketing, how can this be right? Reaction from our Chair facebook.com/share/1BCJwwaC…

We have a wonderful announcement. It is with the most enormous pleasure we share with you today that Pete Wicks, a passionate advocate for all animals, has become our new Global Ambassador. Pete is well known for his love of dogs, as well as his kindness, compassion, and his unique ability to articulate the profound bond between humans and animals. His award-winning and record breaking TV show ‘For Dogs Sake’ (available to stream on U) shows his unrivalled dedication and empathy to these beautiful animals and we are delighted to have him hold such an important role for our ongoing work. We know he will share our message, as well as our mission, on behalf of both serving and retired service animals from across the UK. Pete said: “𝐼 𝑎𝑚 𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑙𝑦 ℎ𝑜𝑛𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑒𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑏𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑐𝑒𝑑 𝑎𝑠 𝐺𝑙𝑜𝑏𝑎𝑙 𝐴𝑚𝑏𝑎𝑠𝑠𝑎𝑑𝑜𝑟 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑁𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑙 𝐹𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑅𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑟𝑒𝑑 𝑆𝑒𝑟𝑣𝑖𝑐𝑒 𝐴𝑛𝑖𝑚𝑎𝑙𝑠. Please donate if you are able to: Liam is a dedicated family man and Police Officer, currently serving on the Armed Response teams. He has put others above himself his whole life, and now Liam and his family need your help. Three months ago Liam was preparing for the arrival of his third child when he was rushed into hospital. The discovery of a brain tumour and a major haemorrhage led to emergency surgery. While he was receiving life-saving treatment, his wife Lucy was giving birth to a beautiful baby boy. What should have been one of the happiest times for this family quickly became the hardest — a situation no family should ever face. Liam continues to be hospitalised and faces a long recovery from a serious brain injury and oncology treatment. At home, Lucy is caring for their newborn and two young children while trying to support Liam through treatment and rehabilitation. Please donate and give the Sealeys love, hope, and support during this time of uncertainty and worry. Help them focus on Liam’s recovery, being together, and getting this good man home: gofundme.com/f/liam-and-the…

💙 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗹 💙 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. South Wales Police have confirmed the tragic death of 𝗣𝗖 𝗥𝗲𝗵𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗸𝗵𝘁𝗮𝗿 (𝟴𝟲𝟱𝟬), aged 28. Rehaan was reported missing while out with friends in Bristol on 23 November 2025. A major search followed and, heartbreakingly, he was later found deceased. Our thoughts are with his girlfriend Emma, his mother Fozia, his loved ones and his colleagues across the force. In Essex, an officer died on 19 November 2025 while responding to an emergency call on the A12 near Ingatestone. The officer’s name has not yet been released publicly. We will update this section when further details and a family approved fundraiser become available. The Metropolitan Police Federation has also announced the sudden passing of 𝗣𝗖 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵, who leaves behind a young family. It is believed that Luke died from natural causes. Verified information from the family or the Met will be shared when it is released. Three officers. Three families. Three policing communities now facing unimaginable loss. To lose so many in such a short period of time is devastating. The policing family feels this deeply. As we have done many times before, UK Cop Humour will be running a Thin Blue Line fundraiser to support the families of all three officers. From today until midnight on 𝟳 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, every Thin Blue Line item sold will generate a donation. These donations will be collected and split equally between the verified fundraisers for the three families. If any Family Liaison Officers are following this page, or if anyone close to the families can help confirm the correct donation links, please contact us directly through our website so that support can be directed accurately and respectfully. A confirmed fundraiser for PC Akhtar is posted in the comments. If any followers become aware of further fundraisers for the other officers, please share them in the comments, but only if they are confirmed to be endorsed by the families. All Thin Blue Line products can be found here: ukcophumour.co.uk/shop/thin-blue… (and they can be purchased by ANYONE, whether you're in the police or not, all support is greatly appreciated 💙) To see our previous charity donations, updated quarterly, visit: blackicetrading.com/news Our love and strength go to the families, friends and colleagues of PC Akhtar, PC North and the Essex officer whose name has not yet been released. Three officers who served with pride. Three families facing the darkest of days. We will remember you. 💙

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 💙 Today matters. Not for balloons or hashtags, but because men in policing and the wider emergency services are still dying in silence. We lose police officers every year, often without any warning, and the impact is felt forever by those left behind. If you know the job, you know the truth. It is extremely unlikely that you will finish a full career without a phone call telling you that someone you worked with has taken their own life. Some officers will even hear that tragic news more than once. The grief will stay with you for life. Policing is heavy. The workload, the trauma, the uncertainty, and the constant belief that you should cope because everyone else is struggling as well. Then, add the growing pressure of lengthy PSD/DPS investigations that drag on for months or even years. Careers, reputations and families are placed - and left - in limbo. Simply put, bad cops need removing. No one disputes that. But when good cops are suspended for years over matters that would see a criminal suspect dealt with and in court in less than half the time, something is seriously wrong. Some officers clear criminal allegations, walk out of court with no case to answer, and still have to begin a misconduct process that can go on for years. That lack of proportionality is breaking good people. Even PSD and DPS staff are caught up in the same storm. They get a bad reputation by default, but many of them are simply honest cops doing an impossible job with far too many cases and far too few resources. They can't apply common sense and make quick decisions because the system doesn't allow them to. Does that sound familiar? Here's the part that matters most. Men in policing hide distress well. Sometimes too well. But if you're a police officer, you're trained to spot when things don't look right. You know when someone is off. If you notice a colleague go quiet, pull away, or simply not seem themselves, just ask the question. A simple, genuine conversation can be the difference between someone coping and someone giving up. Look out for each other. It is not a slogan. It is survival. We know that many people will read this quietly and never comment, but it might be the post that gets them through the day. Below is a verified list of organisations for anyone who needs support. You are never on your own. There is always someone available, no matter the hour. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗲𝘀, 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗹 Last night’s Panorama put the spotlight on policing in the capital for the wrong reasons. By mid-morning today, that spotlight shifted to Greater Manchester Police, where officers were called to face the very worst of humanity. At 9:31, reports came in of an attack at the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation in Crumpsall. Within minutes, GMP firearms officers had responded, and by 9:38 the terrorist had been neutralised. Tragically, 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 and several more injured. The attacker was also shot dead by police. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and all those caught up in this devastating attack. 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 helped prevent the attacker from forcing his way inside. Their bravery, together with the officers who went forward when others would have run, stopped this from becoming far worse. Manchester has faced atrocities before. The threat of terrorism is not fading. But once again the people of Manchester came together, stood shoulder to shoulder, and sent a message. 𝗪𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿. 𝗪𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲. Whatever your politics, beliefs, or religion, they can differ - but we can still respect, support, & love one another. Strength comes through unity. Those who criticise policing or call to dismantle it will never be the ones running into scenes like this. They run away. The officers who attended are not superhuman. They feel, they remember, they fear. What sets them apart is choice. They step forward, act, and protect others, despite knowing some will criticise, whatever the outcome. This was an attack on Jewish worshippers, on Manchester, and on every community that values peace and decency. Do not let it divide us. Let it strengthen our resolve to stand together and build stronger bonds across communities. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹. Policing will be there to keep you safe as you do. Stay safe out there and look out for each other 💙 @gmpolice @GMPCityCentre @GMPFederation @JewishNewsUK @JLC_uk

@UKCopHumour @metpoliceuk @BBCPanorama The tv schedules are full of “fly on the wall” programs showing exactly the positive you describe - but only the positive - of police work. Don’t cry when some balance is put out. You say showing this makes the police’s job harder. Are you arguing it should’ve been buried?

𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗮, 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 Panorama spent seven months undercover in the Met. We've cut all of that down to 59 seconds: the journalist admitting he saw countless police officers doing an excellent job in the toughest of circumstances. Because that’s the reality. Policing is about extraordinary individuals doing incredible work in impossible situations. The police are the public and the public are the police. They’re not higher beings. They’re people from every walk of life who put in an application for a job. Yes, it’s a job with huge responsibility, but it’s still drawn from the same pool of society as every other workforce. And that means you’ll see the good, the bad, and the ugly reflected within it. The best vetting in the world won’t tell you what someone might say when they’re in a pub with a journalist asking leading questions. Not that that excuses behaviour shown in the programme for one second. What was said was shameful and beneath the standards of any decent human being, let alone a police officer. But every time something like that is aired, it makes the job so much harder for everyone else who still has to walk out the door and put on the uniform the next day. And of course, what you’ll never see is a journalist spending seven months undercover just to show you the good. You won’t see them filming officers comforting victims of domestic violence, or taking a neglected child to McDonald’s because they haven’t eaten in days, or holding the hand of someone dying in a road traffic collision, or knocking on a door at 3am to tell a wife and children that daddy isn’t coming home. You won’t see them filming a van full of officers, young and old, big and small, driving at midnight into the middle of a pub fight, knowing full well they could be hurt but going anyway so that others don’t. That’s the reality of policing. And it’s worth remembering, whatever the headlines, that the vast majority are out there trying to do good in a world that doesn’t often want to see it. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿. [🎥 Credit: BBC]
