@AnnaForFlorida You shouldn’t have to imagine, but it’s the sad reality in Florida. That exact work *is* what we shall all expect and demand AGs to do. In fact, that’s our mission and purpose @public_rights — to ensure that our leaders are champions of civil rights & use their power to protect.

Imagine if we had an Attorney General who fought for consumers rights, busted monopolies, and championed public safety programs instead of attacking abortion rights. It would be a totally different state.

There’s another abortion case at the U.S. Supreme Court next month—one that could jeopardize uniform availability of emergency care. And today, on behalf of 32 prosecutors & law-enforcement leaders from across the US, we filed a brief in SCOTUS seeking to preserve such care. /1

@SkyePerryman @CathrenCohen @acog And … recent data shows quite definitively that prescribing mifepristone via telehealth visits is quite safe. The only way that they can win is by deception. We need to call it out every time.

I can confirm @CathrenCohen is correct. The guidance doesn’t say this. I would also note that @acog has long supported the ability of clinicians to make mifepristone available via telehealth because that is what evidence supports. 👇

Erin Hawley just told the Supreme Court that @acog supports requiring ultrasounds before medication abortion as "best practice." That is false. ACOG's evidence-based guidance is that "ultrasound examination is not necessary before medication abortion." acog.org/clinical/clini…
