Hochgerechnet könnten jährlich etwa 58 Menschenleben gerettet sowie zahlreiche Verletzte verhindert werden. Grundlage der Analyse sind Daten von Autobahnabschnitten aus den Jahren 2017 bis 2019, die mit und ohne Tempolimit verglichen wurden. Die Forscherin betont jedoch, dass weitere Studien nötig sind, um die Ergebnisse auf das gesamte Autobahnnetz zu übertragen.
