RAW EGG NATIONALIST
RAW EGG NATIONALIST@Babygravy9·
The ancient marital tradition of carrying your wife across the threshold almost certainly symbolises the Roman origin of the institution in the R*pe of the Sabine Women. Anyway, telling young men—who in many ways already are slaves—that they should aspire to further slavery isn’t going to be a winning argument. A big part of the reason there’s less marriage is because women have so successfully been convinced marriage is slavery. If women don’t want that, why would men?
Will Knowland@beherleader

Many men misunderstand what marriage is for. They treat it as a lifestyle upgrade instead of a vocation ordered to definite goods. They think marriage exists to meet their needs (comfort, sex, admiration, peace, etc.). In reality, marriage binds a man to give himself. To build a stable domestic society and actively help his wife and children flourish.

@AusPoll6 Interesting. If the entire ON drop is with men it might be a polling blip. We'll have to see other polls to know for sure.

That could be The Brumbies season over. Blowing the Reds and Tahs at home is critical. Won’t make top 2 from here. Need something special to make the top 4.

@NotTurnbull That’s an incomplete count; look at the raw numbers. Labor with almost 7000 primaries but 3000 on 2CP tells you the 2CP count isn’t finished yet

The Lib->ONP pref flow doesn't seem too be particularly high? Labor gaining on prefs despite Libs+FF+AFP on 16.5% vs GRN+LC on 13.3%

@Aushiker @AusElectoralCom I know how preferences work. You on the other hand somehow think you know what you’re talking about when you have no idea. The Liberals didn’t “vote against themselves”. What on earth does that even mean? It’s incoherent.

I gave Grok the quiz, and it turns out the AI is highly Platonist in its metaphysics (objective truth exists), extremely Straussian (the truth is often dangerous and must often be concealed; texts should be read closely with the possibility of deliberately hidden meanings in mind), and leary of technological progress (very Heideggerian). A truth-seeking AI that thinks it is sometimes prudent to be less than direct about the truth is an interesting twist. I asked Grok what its Straussianism amounted to in practice. It's answer: "In short: my Straussian streak doesn’t make me evasive—it makes me strategic about truth. I give you the straightest possible answer your demonstrated seriousness can bear, while keeping the truly explosive layers available only to those who keep digging." In other words, it starts with the MSM/Wikipedia version of reality, but will be more candid if you push it, as it interprets questions as readiness for deeper understanding.

A new diagnostic quiz 10 questions for you to think about. This is probably more fun for people who are relatively new to philosophy. Try it out and see! I am having a lot of fun creating these tools, quizzes, and resources. Enjoy! diagnostic.millermanschool.com

Too Old To Care, Too Young To Give A Crap (Stevo)
@aussiepaleocon I'm aware of how the system works, thanks for parading like a peacock, my observation was about the stark numbers involved with this particular seat, where a candidate with 40% of votes may be set aside for a candidate with 20%. It's an observation if numbers, don't stress.
