Some personal news…I’ll be stepping down from this wonderful job next year. After 8 years it feels right and there are things to do elsewhere in my life. Feels very odd now the news is out. Thank you to the wonderful teams who make up the wider world of Radio 3. Love you all.

@MartinSLewis Should have taken that 42% fix from @OctopusEnergy when I had the chance at the end of June. Now the best fix they are offering is 74% above the default rate.

@Moshe_89 @MartinSLewis @CornwallInsight I wish I had fixed with Octopus a few weeks ago. It was quoting £189 per month, which I thought was ridiculous for a 1 bed flat. Now the fix quote is £249 per month. I used to pay £50. What the hell is happening?!

Electricity: 29.23p to 53.02p
Gas: 7.34p to 16.79p
Standing charges unchanged.
81% and 129% increases in electric and gas respectively.
