This student loan furore is really frustrtaing me. People have been extremely vocal about the unfairness, but nobody is offering any reasonable solution that actually benefits the graduates. This is what I would do for Plan 2:

@Tracking_Power Hatzola focuses on community specific, heavily Jewish neighbourhoods- eg Golders Green or Stamford Hill where it’s less likely to get non jewish patients. St John’s operates throughout all of London and the entire UK.

Yes, indeed, why are there "Jewish" ambulance services? This is of course a matter of Jewish supremacy. Only Jews are afforded the privileges we see in the UK. Shomrim, the Jewish only militia, which acts as if it is the police gets state funding . In 2017, the government announced a £50,000 grant for the Stamford Hill Shomrim to help improve the reporting of alleged antisemitic hate crimes. In June 2024, Barnet Council approved a £63,500 grant for Shomrim NW London to support their work. The Community Security Trust is a hard line Zionist organisation masquerading as a charity focused on "antisemitism". It gets an £18,000,000 annual grant to attack Muslims and anti-zionists. You might argues that this is in some way balanced by the government funded int Tell Mama the groups which allegedly monitors anti-Muslim attacks. But Tell Mama is a Zionist organisation set up with the help of the CST. Until the highly suspicious burning of the 4 ambulances Hatzola received no government funding. But now Wes Streeting, a zionist lapdog, has jumped in to announce that the government will pay for their replacement. Job done! I do hope they don't claim on the insurance as well!

There is a glaring double standard in how some people treat Muslims and Jews in this country. I’m Anglican, and public displays of religiosity aren’t especially my thing. But I do believe in the British tradition of religious freedom, and that principle only means anything if it’s applied consistently. If we accept Jewish community services such as Hatzola and Shomrim, we should be equally comfortable accepting Eid prayers in Trafalgar Square. What’s intolerable is the rank hypocrisy. The same people who applaud Jewish-run community services as admirable civic contribution are often the first to sneer at Muslims for comparable expressions of faith, suddenly recasting them as cultural overreach or “parallel societies.” It’s not principle, it’s prejudice dressed up as concern.

Jews are often held up as a community that’s seamlessly integrated into British society. But is that true? No. Two thirds live in or around London. They have their own courts, police force, security service, ambulances, schools, and are infamous for their in-group preference.

If the Muslim community had ambulances in London it would be framed by the media and some of the political class as "taking over" or "an act of dominance." But when it's the Jewish community, it's "charity".

Hatzola is funded by the Jewish community to support Barnet’s ambulance services when they’re overwhelmed, helping anyone in need. I’ve seen people question why there are Jewish ambulances in London. SERIOUSLY? They save lives—Jews and non-Jews alike.

They know they don’t want to put in the work and aren’t capable of building anything like it. What they want is for Jews not to have it either. To them we say: go eat some “charoses.” While you were whining, 20 more Jewish organizations opened, from free food for Passover to affordable shoes and clothing. I recently asked Jewish students at a leading UK university if they saw a future for themselves here. Not one said yes. Today Hatzolah ambulances, whose sole purpose is to save life - ANY life - are burned in London. A country where Jews no longer feel they have a future is already in crisis.

I wasn’t shocked or surprised that 4 ambulances were torched by antisemites. I was shocked by the amount of people openly celebrating or mocking it. I guess I expected too much decency from people, but how can you celebrate the destruction of tools meant to save lives?
