This graph shows one of the many reasons the good old days were not so good. Even as late as 1870, women were losing 2 out of 5 of their children.

Every company on earth gets to choose between two buttons. Red: your service stays online Blue: your service goes down, unless >50% of other companies also pick blue - in which case every service stays online.

Why were Europeans so whiney about the attached bottle caps?? Regardless of environmental reasons, it does not interfere with drinking at all and it’s actually super convenient to not need to hold on the cap! 10/10 Canada should adopt!

If you press the red button, you will certainly die. If you press the blue button, you’ll die if and only if at least half of everyone presses blue. What do you do?

no, you assume. The original framing says "everybody get's a private vote". Without more information we are both wrong and both right at the same time. We just have different assumptions. You assume everybody means only the ones eligible for voting, when I assume everybody means everybody.

@VinciRSS This does not work, in Eastern Europe 10 year olds can buy cigarettes and alcohol without issues (from the small shops)

Non stupid age verification for social media: - go to any shop - seller verifies your age - buy a scratch card (1€) with random code - you put the code in the SM app to unlock 18+ mode - goverment gets money, people stay anonymous, should be win for both sides

@LumLotus Almost all children old enough to read would pick red from instinctive self preservation. Most people who think Red is lucky (including a billion Chinese) would vote red.

I just realized an possible error with blue's polling. I think I was dancing around the issue regardless but many polled blue under the assumption that children and family would pick blue so they had to pick blue to save these people. But who picked blue first? ...

@LumLotus The Senile Baby factor is one of the two major confounding factors in the question, the other being the actual phrasing in general framing blue as a more noble option

@LumLotus Blue-pressers pressing blue only to save the people dumb enough to be blue-pressers. I'm pressing red, and hopefully my parents and kid would too.

Where are The virtue signaling blue people now, they wanted to die so other people could live, they should be out here voting red in droves but they are not. It's almost like it's really easy to call yourself morally superior when there's no stakes on the line and the only reason blue is the majority is because this is a poll on Twitter

Red vs Blue. Please read carefully: Red: You get $10 Blue: Everyone gets $10, only if over 50% choose blue

@allmight2077 @escu__valentin @jankulveit Most people are unaware that there's a semantic ambiguity thay causes people to cleave into 2 distinct games. Red is dominant in one, and they think blue are naive and suicidal. Blue in the other game, and they think reds are heartless assholes.

@escu__valentin @jankulveit You’ve made that inference. What about all the Amazonian that don’t get a button or know how to read and know what to do in this situation? Nothing happens to them or do they get lumped in with blue? Guess we’ll never know. I do know it makes you evil and a bigot probably.

@escu__valentin @jankulveit He didn’t say what would happen to people who don’t push a button, a baby probably can’t get themselves to the voting booth. So this is an unknown, and you shouldn’t make an assumption.
