Great experience at Parliament Hill this week through the Youth Advisory Council for my local MP, Sandra Cobena. I had the opportunity to meet with Pierre Poilievre, Garnett Genuis, Tom Kmiec, and other Members of Parliament while gaining valuable firsthand insight into Canada’s federal political process and public service at the national level. Grateful for the opportunity.

I recently tabled a petition calling on the government to prioritize the needs of CANADIAN young people. Too often, the government seems more focused on attracting international talent than on deploying the talent that we already have. This petition was organized by a very large and active youth council in the riding of my colleague @SandraCobena_. I salute her work supporting these young people and bringing them to Ottawa to share these petitions with MPs, as well as the incredible young people themselves who are becoming politically active in response to a tough economy and to decisions of a government which has failed to prioritize their concerns.

We don’t need more of the same empty Liberal promises that have made groceries more expensive for Canadian families. What we need is for the Carney Liberals to scrap their punitive taxes and get the government out of the way.

Canadians pushed Trudeau out over massive deficits, reckless spending, and poor economic management. Yet Carney has come in with even larger deficits and more spending, while avoiding the same level of scrutiny. That’s disappointing. thankfully, that is beginning to change, and more Canadians are starting to realize they may have made a mistake in electing Carney.

Mark Carney gave Canadians the only recession among G20 countries. Then he spent enough on his plane’s in-flight catering to feed a family of 4 for 55 years. Canadians are going hungry while Liberal elites feast on the taxpayers' dime.

Prime Minister Carney is arriving at the G7 as the only leader whose country is in recession. In his speech today, he spoke about a “New World Order” again, while Canadians have empty fridges, empty gas tanks, and empty bank accounts paying for his inflationary taxes and spending. They don't need empty words. He should stop taking credit for things done over a decade ago. We have had free trade with France since Prime Minister Harper got a deal with all of Europe. Today’s phoney, unenforceable “Joint Statement” is another illusion filled with meaningless garble. No more theatre. Canadians need affordability, jobs and safety, and an end to the Liberal government here at home.
