@JackPosobiec The Creed doesn't say anything about the purpose of Christ's descent into hell. Neither it, nor the Scriptures, say anything about this unscriptural idea about bringing OT saints "fully into heaven." Someone made that up.

As the Apostles Creed states, on Holy Saturday, Christ descended into hell as a triumphant king to proclaim his victory over sin, death, and the devil to the saints who had died before him, and to bring them fully into Heaven, from Adam and Eve to the Good Thief

@JackPosobiec That's because "it is appointed for man to die once, then the judgment." The Descent into hell is not taught in Scripture as the harrowing of hell, but as the proclamation of Christ's victory over His enemies even there.

The Early Christians all understood the importance of Holy Saturday and Christ’s Harrowing of Hell The Descent to the Dead And yet the modern church has largely abandoned this teaching

@Pibble_owner @SecRubio Christ has not called us to hate anyone. All who reject Jesus are enemies of God and of Christians. But Christians are not called upon to hate or mistreat our enemies, but to pray for them. Some will be converted. Many are called, but few are chosen.

@revrydecki @SecRubio Blessings Too many people nowadays have bought into this. “Jew hatred” especially people claiming to be Christians who completely reject Jews They are not understanding that God HAS NOT rejected His people, and they have not stumbled to the point where they are beyond recovery

You're the one talking about passing exams and taking swings, not me. I didn't say "Jesus said." I said Jesus laid out the path of speaking the truth for the Christian. Which He did, in the passages I cited. It includes speaking the truth in defense of your neighbor, which this player chose not to do in order to save his career. If you're having trouble finding Bible passages that call on Christians to speak the truth, do a quick Bible search.

@revrydecki @libsoftiktok @NBA So when you say Jesus said something, but upon being asked where he said it, you are unable to identify any relevant verse — that means the person asking the question (in this case, me) is playing a game? What is the game?

Dallas Mavericks player Daniel Gafford forced to censor himself when asked about his shirt that says "Faith isn’t for the weak." He doesn't want to get waived like Jaden Ivey. The @NBA is targeting Christians while promoting LGBTQ groomer celebrations.

@chrisradom @libsoftiktok @NBA You mistake me for someone who is playing your game or taking your test. The point, which you missed from the beginning, is that this player claimed that faith is not for the weak, and then proceeded to show his weakness in not defending his brother NBA player.

@revrydecki @libsoftiktok @NBA Neither does Matt 16 tell Christians to tell other people what to do and how to live. Gracious Paul. If the question had been on an exam, you would have been awarded 0 points. Want to give it another swing?

In general, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?" (Matt. 16:24-26)

In this context, "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God." @chicagobulls @CHSN__ @thescorechicago I grew up in southwestern Michigan. Have always been a Bulls fan. Until now. Now you couldn't pay me enough to root for the bulls. You don't want Christians as players, you don't get Christians as fans.

Daniel Gafford plays for the Dallas Mavericks. He’s asked what the words on his shirt mean: “Faith isn’t for the weak.” Gafford says he’s not going to answer because he doesn’t want to get kicked off his team like Jaden Ivey. The NBA is sick.

Jaden Ivey on IG Live: "All I'm preaching is about Jesus Christ and they waived me. They say I'm crazy, I'm psycho…God let these things happen for a reason…When I came into the league all I wanted to do was win championships, get millions of bucks, get that next contract, get all them cars, that's all I wanted–until the Lord showed me. What good is it to gain the world & forfeit your soul? What good is it to not follow the Lord, obey his commandments?…You only get to drive the Ferrari for the time being…when has anyone driven a Ferrari for 10 hours? No one…you only drive it for however long…What good is it gonna do for y'all on Judgment Day if you don't know the Lord Jesus Christ and obey his commandments?…It's not gonna do no good doing your will and trying to win championships…that's where many stumble…That's why you got Steph Curry…he don't know Jesus, and I pray he comes to the truth, that him & his family be saved in Jesus name…All them rings he got…all them rings LeBron got, Michael Jordan got, all them people in the HOF who don't know Jesus Christ, it's not gonna matter on Judgment Day…They gonna try to stop me but I'm not, I'm gonna be speaking the Truth…That's why everybody around me turning their back on me, because of my faith…I didn't get myself waived–I was in the gym today rehabbing…doing my job…doing whatever they said to do…and they kicked me out. And I'm sure every NBA team gonna say the same thing: 'We don't want him, he's too religious for us'…I hope you turn to Jesus Christ…that you can be forgiven of your sin…we've all sinned…there has to be an atonement, there has to be something…God is faithful to do it but…you have to believe…Jesus gives you power over the devil…please turn to Jesus Christ…it's not his will that these players perish in the NBA…they searching for something they not gonna achieve…they got all these goals…they need to be searching what's the next goal I can do for the Lord Jesus Christ…you gotta have faith in Jesus…They gonna cancel me I'm telling you…This word is gonna be preached…He's gonna come like a thief in the night for those who don't believe…nothing good in the world besides following Jesus Christ…Y'all think y'all hidden…He sees the things you're doing at night…the pornography…the fornication…the lying…the physical abuse…the fighting––" Flight attendant: "I'm sorry to bother you…are you on your mobile?…it interferes with the communication" Ivey: "May Jesus bless y'all…My god's willing to save the dirtiest of sinners…May you be blessed in Jesus name"

When it comes to the perpetual virginity of Mary, do you agree with the Catholic view or with the view of Protestant reformers Martin Luther, Ulrich Zwingli, and John Wesley?

Some of us expressed great concern about the Iran War when it was first launched. We were shouted down and condemned as “panicans” and “blackpillers” and even Islamist sympathizers. But it’s pretty clear from how things have gone that our concerns were absolutely reasonable and legitimate. Maybe Trump will get us out of this thing soon and it still won’t spiral into a long and drawn out war. But even if that happens — and I’m not convinced it will — no thoughtful person can deny at this point that the spiral and long war scenario is very much a possibility. No reasonable person, at this stage, can say that our concerns were irrational. What looks irrational now — and always did — is the demand for blind allegiance and unthinking “trust” in our elected leaders, as though we are called to have faith in politicians like we have faith in God.

@CarriePrejean1 I appreciate your stance against the heresy of Christian Zionism. But you have been misled if someone told you that Mary drew you to her Son. Jesus never taught any such thing. He said, "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him" Jn. 6:44.

Last April, I came into the Catholic Church with my two children. By the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, this April, my husband will be welcomed in. The Holy Spirit led me home. Our Blessed Mother drew me closer to her Son and changed my heart. At my Confirmation, I was sealed with the Holy Spirit. Something in me was marked forever. I was given His gifts… wisdom to recognize truth, understanding to love it, and the courage to follow it no matter the cost. There is a fire in my soul that won’t go out. I’ve always loved Jesus Christ, but now I hunger for Him in a way I never have before. A deep, aching hunger for the Eucharist. For His presence. For His Mother, For His truth. For His Church. I was searching. Truly searching. I wanted what was real… something rooted, something unshakable, something with authority that didn’t change with the world. And I found Him. Fully present in the Church He founded two thousand years ago. This isn’t just a decision. It’s a homecoming. People aren’t coming home because it’s popular to do so. They’re coming home because it’s true.

There is a species of ant that approaches the edge of another colony, kills a single worker, and then takes on the dead ant’s scent. For ants, scent is everything. Wearing that scent, the intruder walks in with no resistance. The workers pass by without concern. The intruder moves inward, toward the queen, then It sprays the queen with a different scent that makes the workers turn on her. Then they surround her and kill her. The intruder does not need to fight anyone. The colony does the work itself. Once the queen is gone, the intruder reproduces. The true invader is no longer an intruder. It is the future. This is how ideological takeover works. A destructive foreign ideology takes the scent of familiar ideas and walks in as if it belongs. It speaks the native vocabulary, justice, equality, compassion, rights, progress. It uses these words and quietly changes what they point to. Then it moves inward. It alters how foundations are perceived. Responsibility is made to smell like cruelty, law like oppression, borders like hatred, tradition like danger, history like guilt. At that point, the civilization turns on itself. Its courts, universities, churches, media, and bureaucracies begin treating their own foundations as threats. They believe they are defending the system. They are enforcing what now smells legitimate. They do not see the intruder because it sounds exactly like them. And when the founding principles are finally removed, discredited, dismantled, erased, the foreign ideology does not need to conquer anything. It inherits what is left. The queen is gone. The colony is no longer itself. The most effective conquest is the one that convinces a society that its own foundations are the enemy, and that killing them is an act of virtue.
