Renaming in general is lame. It was lame of the Democrats to try to rename Fort Bragg. It's lame of the Republicans to try to rename the Gulf of Mexico.

Apparently subtitles are very popular now. I can't watch with subtitles because all I do is read them... which is, I guess obvious? But how is Hollywood optimizing for subtitles so the picture works with the words?
