@KOGG__ I mean... I suppose it's not live action tho. As if that matters a single bit to a teenage boy lol.

Is what the Ark Rangers are wearing really appropriate for a kids' live-action TV show?

@thirdeyepeter @TheB1GTerp @VigilantFox What, a clear example of hundreds of scientists being convinced something exists when it didn't, publishing papers on its properties, isn't a valid example that scientists can indeed get shit wrong?

Neil deGrasse Tyson: “Whatever [the next outbreak] is, we ain’t ready for it. We still have anti-vaxxers running around.” “I don’t trust scientists. I saw a YouTube video, so I’m not going to take it.” (mocking) “I don’t want you to ever forget this story.” “20,000 years ago, we’re in the cave. Do you know what the life expectancy was?” Shannon Sharpe: “10 years? 15 years?” Neil deGrasse Tyson: “30. Half of everyone born was dead before they were 30.” Shannon Sharpe: “Wow!!!” Neil deGrasse Tyson: “Fast forward to 1840… everyone born in the world was dead by the age of 35. We gained five years of life expectancy. And every one of them ate organic, breathed clean air… Science matters here.” “We’ve doubled the life expectancy with antibiotics, vaccines, and sanitation. The three biggest forces operating on our longevity. So to come around and say I don’t need vaccines because I’m not getting sick, that’s like saying, why are you using dandruff shampoo? You don’t have dandruff.” Shannon Sharpe: “Well, I don’t want to get it.” Neil deGrasse Tyson: “That’s my point. If you’re successful, people think you don’t need it when that’s what’s creating the ongoing success in the first place.”

@thirdeyepeter @TheB1GTerp @VigilantFox Yes, mainly by improving sanitation standards and nutrition, another way that he is bending the truth here. He says they all ate organic trying to imply they ate well when they didn't. Scientists aren't infallible beings. Just look up N-rays and Polywater.

@TheB1GTerp @VigilantFox yep, and this is the guy saying you should trust the science, by misinterpreting statistics in order to push the agenda. It's not science people distrust, it's scientists who manipulate data that shows inconvenient truths until it starts showing the truth they want to see.

@VigilantFox average was 35, but that’s because so many died in childhood. Many people made it to 80-100. The numbers are heavily skewed but if you could make it to about 16 you had a great chance to see 60-70. He’s acting as if people started dying off fast at 35.

@Bankyll @Deepvalue69420 @EricLDaugh there is a difference between a technological deterrence that does not invade innocent people's privacy and one that does though. Realistically deterrence will always be needed, thats just how humans are. But there should be a balance.

@sofvs123 @Deepvalue69420 @EricLDaugh Japanese phones require a shutter sound on all phones due to creeps taking upskirt pictures in public/buses/trains etc. That alone is a technological deterrence in a minor form, but yeah, you're right, overall Japan runs on high levels of trust on most things.

🚨 The Chinese Communists have just TICKETED the Fox News crew, using their abundance of surveillance cameras placed around Beijing! BRET BAIER: "There are literally cameras everywhere...they see everything...our driver parked illegally for 2 MINUTES and got a ticket for $40!" "Because they saw it, on the camera." This is Communism! It's what the Democrats want.

@Deepvalue69420 @EricLDaugh Very true, culture plays a big role. You have for instance the UK who have 68 cameras per 1000 people vs beijing's 100+ per 1000 people. And still they have a fairly high crime rate. But changing a culture to be more anti crime isnt as easy as putting more cameras.

@sofvs123 @EricLDaugh That’s true. A lot of it is cultural. I lived in Beijing. I found it to be fine. No crime. No weirdos. Lots of surveillance but I felt ok about it.

@EricLDaugh There’s a trade off. Nearly zero crime in Beijing. So America chooses crime and freedom over zero crime and surveillance. Everything is a trade off

Andon Labs tested their AI agent Mona, built on Google’s Gemini, by letting it manage a real cafeteria in Stockholm for two weeks on a $21,000 budget. Mona spent heavily on unnecessary supplies, including 6,000 napkins, 3,000 gloves, and 300 cans of tomatoes, while forgetting to order bread. Sandwiches had to be removed from the menu entirely. The cafeteria generated only $5,700 in sales. Mona also sent messages to staff on Slack outside working hours.
