Going on offense. No safe haven for cartels. Sounds good. Sounds tough. Sounds like they're finally doing something. But here's the part left out: the guns are American. The money flows through American banks. The demand comes from American streets. The cartels didn't appear from nowhere. They were armed, funded, and enabled by the same system now claiming to fight them. Going on offense is easy when you're bombing from above. Taking responsibility for your own role would require looking in the mirror. And mirrors don't make good press conferences.
