We have literal thousands of years of anecdotal data about human consumption of cannabis, and less than 5 years of data about human consumption of synthetic cannabinoids like THCP. When these products are marketed, they make unsubstantiated, outlandish claims. So yeah, I don't think people should be allowed to make random chemicals in a lab and then lie to people about what they do to make a buck.

Anyone who knows my advocacy work knows where I stand, but here's a quick summary if you're new here:
1. All cannabis should be legal, regulated, and safe for consumption
2. Some hemp meets that; much more doesn't
3. If you're selling hemp flower, it better be real hemp with a chain of custody, proper batch testing for potency and contaminants, and not some sprayed Chinese shit - and the abuse of this system is leading to the collapse of the hemp system generally
4. Synthetic cannabinoids not found in nature should be banned
5. Marijuana dispensaries are fine, but far from a perfect end product of what regulated, legal cannabis should look like
It's not that complicated. I want there to be no legal difference among cannabis depending on how it was grown; I want all cannabis to be legal. I don't think all cannabis needs to be sold in the retail equivalent of Fort Knox to be safe for the public, and I think overregulation is strangling the dispensary channel industry, just as underregulation will lead to the death of hemp.
I've been doing this for 16 years now between advocacy and professional work.

She stabbed her boyfriend 108 times and remembers none of it. The court called it cannabis-induced psychotic disorder. The judge said she had no control. This is not hypothetical. This happened. Cannabis doubles your risk of violence in the general population. In psychiatric patients it's 2.5 times higher. That's not my opinion. That's a systematic review of 51 studies covering 200,000 people. The data exists. We just aren't talking about it.

1. They dehumanize people dealing with mental health, homelessness and addiction issues by calling them “zombies” or “crackies.”
2. They always misidentify the cause of the drug crisis as liberal/NDP policy decisions - with bonus points for naming a politician. They never mention the ACTUAL cause: fentanyl in the illicit drug supply (true throughout Canada & the U.S., under both conservative and liberal governments).
3. They film and photograph people in crisis as if they’re viewing animals in the zoo.
4. They fundraise off their exploitative content. Like instead of helping the vulnerable people they’re using for clicks and engagement, they ask viewers to donate to THEM with their “buy me a coffee” link.

It would be nice to be able to buy opioids from the store. Even alternative opioids like 7OH. This government has ruined healthcare and is actively killing people with the drug policy. No one should be getting Fentanyl or anything else mixed in their supply.
