We are witnessing the NRM/A’s last line of defense – Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi. I recently visited incarcerated legislator, Muwanga Kivumbi at Kitalya Prison. As you can imagine, we had an un-moderated mini political talk-show. He was in good spirits – gave me this brilliant analysis. As member of the Uganda Young Democrats in the 1990s, he noted (I’m paraphrasing): “In 1995, when we went to campaign, the PEASANTS would chase us from their villages, singing the goodness of NRA/Yoweri Museveni. "In the 2000-2016 interval, the peasants were thoroughly disappointed. We started battling with CADRES and the NRM elite (David Mafabi, Mwenda, Man of Ideology, Tony Owana). "2016- onwards, it is the Deep State (SFC, JATT, CMI). They have to directly defend the NRM/A. While they are so lethal, and violent, they are the last line of defence, and there is nothing after them.

Today, four innocent children at Maranatha in Ggaba were brutally murdered. This is a heartbreaking image of a father whose child's life was taken in a flash. As a father, I know this pain has no name. When a child falls sick and passes on, you eventually find a painful closure. You know you fought for them. You know you tried. You held them in your hands, the doctors tried and there is nothing more you could do. But when a life is extinguished in a flash of senseless violence, there is no closure. Only a void. One moment they are laughing, and the next, they are gone. Just an empty chair, a silent uniform, and a heart that will never heal. This is not just a loss; it is a theft of the future. My heart breaks for the parents in Ggaba. No parent should ever have to bury a child whose life was snatched away so cruelly. #ProtectOurChildren

Last night, I visited all the families of the 4 slain children to mourn with them and their loved ones. I honestly can’t describe the somber mood in Ggaba last night. The heartbreak of seeing those children lie in the coffins with knife wounds was too shocking. The other two of the 6 are still in critical condition in a a health unit in Ggaba being closely monitored. The program as of today is having them buried at their ancestral homes, Gomba, Pallisa, Soroti and Gulu. We shall also have joint requiem service for all families on Monday at Ggaba Community church. Teachers of the school also sustained injuries but are being nursed well and we pray for all their recovery. I request Ugandans wherever you are to pray to God to strengthen the family and community of Ggaba in this critical moment as We enter Easter Weekend. 🙏

I have always had issues with a religious cleric attacking the faith of others which they quite do not understand as a means of scoring cheap points. In every faith are things difficult to fathom. These things are left to the realm of faith. So our good friend the famous Tik ToK cleric would do himself a world of God leaving Christianity alone. There are many things in his own faith that make sense to him and believers of his faith that would be difficult for people of other faiths to make sense of. FACT. Common decency demands we respect what we may not understand and agree with.

Sexual harassment by lecturers on students is a serious problem at that fake university. Students already struggle with high tuition fees, fake bursaries, and forced retakes. On top of that, some lecturers who don't zip their trousers and shirts demand sexual favours especially from those students who join them (fresher). They expose themselves and pressure students for sex in exchange for good marks or special benefits. Attractive female and male students are often forced into sexual acts to get better grades, bursaries, or other advantages. Those who refuse face serious consequences. Lecturers may ruin their academic records with failing marks, making it hard for them to complete their studies or build successful careers. A clear example of the dangers students face happened on Sunday, 17 September 2025, in the morning. A second-year Nigerian Law student was allegedly gang-raped in her off-campus hostel room in Katungu Cell, Ishaka Division. Knife-wielding men broke into the room, threatened to kill her if she screamed, raped her in turns, and stole her phone. The police confirmed the case and gave her the necessary medical forms, but no arrests have been made up to now. Student security both on and off campus is a major worry. You have platforms with national reach, you have influence, and you have the power to shape conversations that build this country. But what you choose to amplify is endless fixation on National Unity Platform. Every morning, it’s the same script: a panel, center the discussion around @NUP_Ug, recycle talking points and then move on. But let’s be honest; is this journalism or? Because it is beginning to look like programmed narrative control. Ugandans are dealing with real issues: Unemployment, Cost of living, Lack of practical skills, Broken systems in education and health But instead of meaningful programming that equips people, You decide to feed us with daily political loops that add no value to ordinary lives. What exactly can a young Ugandan learn from these failed politicians? How do they become better, how do they earn, how do they grow? Coz your stations are informing people about propaganda but not transforming their lives. The media should challenge minds, not condition them. It should expand opportunity, not narrow conversation to a single political fixation. And let me address something even more uncomfortable: When media platforms consistently push one direction of conversation, people begin to question independence, intent and the credibility and this is a dangerous place for any media house to reach because once trust is lost, no amount of production quality can restore it. Instead of Munyagwa noise disguised as analysis, give us programs that teach digital skills, highlight real entrepreneurs, break down opportunities for youth and inspire growth beyond politics. This is not an attack Sir, but a call to responsibility. You have built powerful platforms, now build purposeful content. Ugandans don’t just need to be informed, they need to be empowered.
