@d4nnytye What are your thoughts on all the current gays in politics? Dutch PM, and now Munichs Mayor on the left vs the AfD leader on the far right.

@breadandposes I love my Heat Pump Room. It used to be a living room with a TV, but now I get to stare at a compressor all evening.

@MissLauraFong @tomhfh Well there's a good chance the home you're in was once considered a new build box house. Why deprive everyone else of something you have?

@tomhfh Why would anyone support the buildings of new towns? Let's concrete over the countryside and make the roads and trains more congested. And why would anyone want to live in a new build box house on an identikit street? Ghastly.

@LeCuzzy @Liv_Agar - beating starving wildlings when you have armoured knights and the element of suprise is only moderately impressive - this is after he completely flopped at the Blackwater - Ramsey took back Winterfell from the Ironborn, which is more of an achievement than half of Stannis's

@LeCuzzy @Liv_Agar I love Stannis but as others have pointed out: - Fair Isle was neat but mostly Victarion being dumb - Resisting a siege is impressive but doesn't require much strategy, the Tyrells weren't attacking. - Dragonstone was surrendered without a fight (reportedly)

@MonsieurPiddly If you include the Tube, Paddington (Circle Line) to Paddington (Circle and Hammersmith and City lines) is the closest I can think of.

@FrankFWJH But when HS2 is built in full, it will go to Manchester and further on, where it will make more of a difference. And I very much doubt changing the spec half way through to make it slightly slower will actually save any money - these are existing contracts and plans.

@cemk_cemil For my fucking life I cant figure out why every left/liberal/centrist party in western Europe is so fucking adamant on this retarded pro-immigration stance that only loses votes It would be so easy to moderate this shit better and get free votes in return. No balls.

You know why..? Because they combine liberal social policies with restrictive Third World migration that would be even considered "racist" elsewhere and a staunch pro-Ukrainian stance. Restrictive non-white migration (even remigration) + strong pro-Ukrainian stance + liberal social policies is the electoral sweet spot. This is what Europeans truly want. And this is what Europe truly needs. Both the liberal and right-wing parties are shooting themselves in the foot by antagonizing one of those.

The Danish social democrats are so popular that they are polling with North-Korean style percentages. European Patriots keep winning 🇪🇺

Why are we building ‘new towns’ on England’s fields when there are blight-ridden brownfield sites all over our urban centres ??? ???
YIMBY Alliance@yimbyalliance

🚨Tempsford has been confirmed as a new town! 40,000 homes are set to be built around a new station at the intersection of the East Coast Mainline and East West Rail – linking Tempsford’s new residents to good jobs in London, Cambridge, Oxford and Milton Keynes 🚆 Tempsford’s excellent transport potential is massively underutilised: the site is almost entirely covered by empty fields. But Tempsford’s proximity to so many big cities means that the new town stands a great chance of becoming a huge economic success! 🗺️ The other new towns are: - Crews Hill and Chase Park, Enfield - Leeds South Bank, West Yorkshire - Manchester Victoria North, Greater Manchester - Thamesmead, Greenwich - Brabazon and the West Innovation Arc, South Gloucestershire - Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. 🏘️ To make the most out of Tempsford, it is important to tackle one key bottleneck. The Digswell Viaduct, located just south of the proposed new town, is where the East Coast Main Line narrows from four tracks to just two. 🛤️ The viaduct limits how many trains can run on that line, a line currently used by over 20 million people every year. We need to fix that bottleneck to ensure that a new station at Tempsford doesn't slow down services. You can read @KaneEmerson's paper, where Tempsford new town was first proposed, here: britishprogress.org/briefings/new-… And you can read and support the Government’s in-depth consultation on the New Towns here: gov.uk/government/con…

@BareLeft We're facing a climate crisis, and instead of building more reservoirs, our money goes towards paying dividends to investors. Ridiculous.

Wrong. Thatcher stopped the regional water authorities from borrowing money for capital projects to force privatisation. We're a rainy country facing drought conditions because for over 35 years, we've let our water infrastructure become a cash machine for private sector spivs.
It doesn't add up...@I_D_A_U_

@BareLeft Nationalisation would do what happened the last time - ensure that there is massive ongoing underinvestment in water (but this time a truly exortionate prices, as with say HS2).

@RepealTCPA1947 We allow them to make massive profits in every other year, surely if theres an external supply shock, they should absorb some of that and accept slightly compressed margins for a few months? Its what most other industries do.
