People of other cities in Tamilnadu are happy that Parandur isn’t happening. @CMOTamilnadu please focus on Madurai, Kovai , Trichy , Tuti and Salem airport connectivity, investments will pour in all parts of TN .

Perhaps we should start a protest FOR Parandur. We already are a decade behind Bangalore and Hyderabad. I hope the CM sees that this gap needs to be addressed and closed immediately.

Office leasing market continues to be dead slow through this quarter, in Chennai, compared to the likes of Hyderabad and Bangalore. There have been huge take-ups in these cities by new GCCs (>0.5 Mn sft) whereas there is no new entrant at all yet for our city, over past 3 months let alone huge deals. Lack of supply continues to be a huge negative. Cumulative leasing volume last 3 months is just about 1 mn sft. #Chennai #OfficeMarket

Actor Raghava Lawrence today 18 minutes video, I am interpreting he might join TVK and contest in Trichy East.
Before that he mentioned Matram in tweet & he is speaking about Vijay in his video but in his mind it is about Trichy East.
For matram only two choice either TVK or Annamalai. But in that video he didn’t mentioned about Annamalai, so my guess is he might join TVK.

As of 2026, Tamil Nadu is the only state in India that does not have any Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs). As the name indicates, this policy was formulated when Congress was in power and the BJP has continued it.
It is generally a bad idea for one state to keep resisting policies every other state, including non-BJP states, accept.
DMK pursued that arrogant policy and lost.
Given that the Congress is in the ruling alliance in Tamil Nadu, I hope they push for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya schools in the interest of our Tamil Nadu students.
Accepting Jawahar Navodaya Schools would not lose a single vote and in fact may win many votes from grateful parents. Pragmatism in such matters is politically wise.

This is the contrast between campaign rhetoric and administrative reality.
You repeatedly claimed that Tamil Nadu was being misgoverned by DMK. Yet today at the NITI Aayog meeting, you proudly point out that Tamil Nadu is India's second-largest economy and contributes 42% of India's women workforce.
You also urged the Union Government to release the pending Samagra Shiksha funds without linking them to the three-language policy. That is exactly what MKS did.
Back then, you mocked that the funds were not coming because the DMK had failed to secure them. Now that you are the CM, why not simply bring the funds back with you from Delhi?
Now you realise that a Chief Minister can demand, argue and insist, but cannot pull money out of the Union Government's pocket by force?

Tirupur exported ₹42,500 crore worth of knitwear last year. That's $4.45 billion — 49% of India's entire garment exports. From one town in Tamil Nadu. No PLI. No special economic zone. No mega announcement. Just a cluster of small dyeing units from the 1970s that scaled through pure competitive pressure.
