@MuscleIQ2 @garyblack00 I agree with you But first we gotta make sure FSD unsupervised is safer than a human driver and get regulators aboard public still has a hard time believing that a sophisticated and elegant camera based Ai system like FSD can work I only worry about deadly edge cases the most

I think Tesla will reach 1 million Robotaxis first because they already have over 1 million cars with all the necessary hardware to become Robotaxis. Once they receive that over-the-air update these cars will be able to be added to the fleet of Robotaxis. Waymo’s official blog post dated February 17, 2026, states that their fleet currently has 3,000 vehicles. Waymo in its February 12, 2026 blog post announced “we are beginning to meaningfully scale toward a capacity of tens of thousands of units per year.” But they don’t build cars. They purchase cars, then retrofit them in their “factory”. Waymo = tens of thousands of units per year. Tesla = million of CyberCabs per year. Quote (Lars Moravy, Q4 2025 Earnings Call): “could be five or ten times our current levels of production.” Tesla 2025 production baseline: 1,654,667 vehicles.
5× = 8,273,335 Cybercabs/year
10× = 16,546,670 Cybercabs/year Quote (Elon Musk): “cycle time of approximately one vehicle every 10 seconds at maturity.” Theoretical annual capacity (continuous operation):
3,153,600 vehicles/year.

Anyone who believes $TSLA will be the only OEM able to solve for general unsupervised autonomy needs to watch Jim Cramer’s interview of Jensen Huang (NVDA’s CEO) today on CNBC who repeated that NVDA was partnering with several OEMs to solve for unsupervised autonomy - including Mercedes, Hyundai, BYDDY, Geely, GM, and Toyota. At a 2026 P/E of ~200x the market is clearly discounting TSLA’s ability to solve for generalized unsupervised autonomy, but may not be recognizing that several competitors are also solving for unsupervised autonomy. Source: CNBC CRAMER: And then at the same time, you talked about self-driving. Now, self-driving, that's 50 trillion. You're going to get your share of self-driving. Yesterday, I heard a dominant share. I did not know you would dominate in that market. HUANG: We are going to be very, very large. You know, we've been working on self-driving for about 10 years now. Our strategy is not to build a self-driving car. Our strategy is to build a platform so that everybody can have self-driving cars. We partnered with Mercedes first. We're now on the road. It is the highest rated safety autonomous vehicle in the world today. And so, I'm very proud of that. We're now also in BYD, the largest electric car company in the world, Hyundai, Geely, and Nissan. Among the four -- consisting of all the five so far, that's 20 percent of the world's manufactured cars. And, yeah, we have GM and Toyota on top of that. And so, this is going to be a -- our strategy is to build, help Uber and help all these companies create a large fleet of autonomous vehicles.

@Apfelbaum86 @elonmusk @wholemars @WR4NYGov @garyblack00 Wow! This is horrifying! If true, Tesla and Elon Musk better get to work on fixing these so called "Edge Cases" or whatever because the more these unfortunate stories get out, the more damage it causes the efforts of Tesla and Elon Musk, to deliver Robotaxis to us

The media is running a story today about how a Cybertruck “allegedly” crashed on a Texas highway. Spoiler alert, the crash happened while the human driver was in control. The law firm, which is seeking $1 million, says that last summer Justine Saint Amour was driving her Cybertruck with Autopilot engaged. There’s just one problem — Autopilot is a legacy lane keeping system that never shipped on Cybertruck. The driver then admits that before the crash they disengaged the system and started driving manually. Indeed, the video shows the truck starting to turn before the driver disengaged and drove into the wall. Tesla hasn’t officially responded to the lawsuit yet, but available telemetry indicates the driver probably wasn’t paying attention, got startled, and crashed. There doesn’t seem to be any attempt to steer back towards the on-ramp in the video, rather you see the trajectory change from turning with the ramp to driving straight into it. When you crash your car, people tend to put blame on anyone but themselves. A high profile company like Tesla, with a CEO who is the wealthiest man on Earth? Yeah, they kinds of BS lawsuits happen often. Let’s wait for more data and discovery to take place, but based on the evidence i’m seeing so far that doesn’t look like something FSD — even an older V13 — would do.

@wholemars @elonmusk @WR4NYGov Grok estimates 60-65 mph. So partially fsd made mistake, should have known. But yeah crash was avoidable, i would have taken the cones over the pole. But I'm a pro driver.

@elonmusk @wholemars @WR4NYGov Actually still looks FSD mistake. Speed was over recommended at disengagement(FSD). Grok says 4secs is not enough to slow down.

@wholemars @Nashcash @elonmusk @WR4NYGov I think you mean FSD not Autopilot Autopilot is essentially glorified cruise control plus a bit of lane keep assist Autopilot cannot make these types of calculated sudden moves. Presumably that's why we have FSD and that clearly ROYALLY failed also Edge case? @garyblack00

@elonmusk @wholemars @WR4NYGov Unfortunately that's hard to believe as much as I'd like to! The video is quite clear. You don't need to be a seasoned traffic investigator to see that this vehicle operator had put full faith in YOUR FSD system. Mother's are usually cautious drivers & she would have stopped

'TERRIFYING': Dashcam video shows the moment a Tesla Cybertruck, allegedly operating in self-driving mode, nearly sent a Houston mom and her infant off a bridge before violently crashing into an overpass barrier. The woman claims she suffered multiple injuries from the incident and is now suing the automaker for $1 million.

@eager28 @garyblack00 Absolutely 🎯💯 This is not a time for @elonmusk to be pinching pennies to save cost Some aspects of a business require proper marketing, PR, and pruduct education costs... And unfortunately that's part of the reason why Tesla vehicle sales have utterly SUCKED year over year

@garyblack00 With the coming RoboCabs, I hope TSLA will finally set aside a respectable media budget. You can’t succeed at mass commercializing a product without a serious media budget.

Intense debate continues online about the Fox News dashcam footage from an August 18, 2025 incident near Houston involving a mom with her infant in a $TSLA Cybertruck. The video shows the truck allegedly in Full Self-Driving (FSD) mode failing to follow a right-hand curve on the overpass, barreling straight ahead through traffic cones, and slamming into a concrete barrier instead of curving safely. Tesla has stated via Elon Musk that autopilot (or FSD?) was disengaged four seconds before impact. The victim is suing TSLA for $1 million. While we believe video logs will show that FSD (or autopilot) was in fact disengaged prior to the accident, the absence of an effective PR team at TSLA to put to rest media misstatements (here Fox News) is again hurting the company’s brand and reputation for safety, which will be critical as it tries to secure regulatory approvals to launch fully autonomous Cybercabs with no steering wheel or pedals nationally later this year.

@garyblack00 @eager28 Dear Gary, I wonder if there was no PR about this because in fact, perhaps after they investigated the incident, it was revealed that FSD or Autopilot was in control and hence, Tesla didn't want to exasperate the negative attention further? That's far more likely in my view

@eager28 @garyblack00 @Tesla @elonmusk This is OBVIOUSLY being driven by an "automated" system like FSD or Autopilot No human being would be that stupid to plow straight into a sidewall FULL FORCE unless blind, under influence, or totally distracted So unless one of those 3, FSD is the blame!

@garyblack00 Terrifying. All the news programs are running it over & over again. What is not seen is a video by a guy that has a CyberTruck who went & drove the exact same route twice on FSD & it worked perfectly both times. Why do you suppose we do not see that video over & over again?

@garyblack00 @elonmusk As we see in footage, there was not the slightest slowdown by this vehicle operator This tells me that the Driver likely has FSD on, and was so confident it would handle the curve and not plow into the sidewall, that he/she foolishly allowed FSD to handle it FULL ON

There’s no question in my mind FSD (or autopilot) was turned off at the time of the crash. That’s not the point: $TSLA needs to think longer term and invest in a 1-2 person PR team to squash mistaken commentary by the media like this. TSLA’s inability to control the narrative is again hurting the company’s brand and reputation for safety, which will be critical as it tries to secure regulatory approvals to launch fully autonomous Cybercabs with no steering wheel or pedals later this year. Why put a timely launch of Cybercab at risk to save a few dollars?

@garyblack00 I'm personally not sure that FSD / Autopilot was in fact Turned Off at the time of this incident. One of them may have been on because *A human driver doesn't plow into a side wall like that on a clear day. Sidewall was clearly visible. EXPECTED human behavior is slowing down

@garyblack00 @Tesla @elonmusk Oh yeah absolutely Gary! You're spot on 🎯 as usual It completely baffles me why Tesla not only doesn't spend a penny on Advertising for education & product differentiation, but also on a PR team to dispel media misrepresentation of events Costly & shameful !

@garyblack00 @Tesla @elonmusk Wow! This is terrifying! If "edge" cases like these exist, Tesla can pretty much forget receiving regulatory approval for FSD unsupervised. I'm a Tesla Bull & Investor & own 2 Tesla sedans! But by God almighty, Tesla needs to sort out this crap Pronto

@garyblack00 Yes exactly Actually the Rivian is a very descent looking pickup Truck & SUV I just wish that hideous Cybertruck could have had a slightly more standard design and not been made out of Stainless Steel like a big fridge or dumpster on wheels It was a huge design flop by Tesla

This is not the only reason to own $RIVN, but I believe either $VOW, one of the big 3 or $GOOG or $AMZN will ultimately acquire $RIVN to expand their presence in both EVs and full autonomy. Market cap is still under $20B and the incremental TAM potential associated with extending the brand into the $50K R2 segment from the $80K R1 segment is HUGE.

@garyblack00 Funny I just replied to a post of yours two days ago asking why you aren’t including Rivian when you talk about robotaxis and full self driving cars. Perhaps now you will start to include them. Don’t sleep on Rivian. The future is bright. 🚀

Here we go. Once Netanyahu has ordered in ground troops, then it's a guarantee. American politicians are not allowed to disagree. Watch. You'll see Trump will follow his orders like a dog. Then they'll pretend landing troops on Iranian islands doesn't count. Propaganda incoming.
