I think many people who are conservative in the US now regret voting for Trump. I am in agreement and his only saving light is amusing tweets. I have zero support for Donald Trump. It's completely unacceptable to throw your economic policy out the window for foreign policy after he declared himself numerous times as a anti war president. Not only domestically but this has disrupted the entire global economy. His legacy as far as I am concerned is ruined. I will be first to admit where I am wrong and change my stance accordingly.

Virtually every industry has people who have lied about their credentials, passed background checks and nevertheless got the job or license.

NATO has been a key instrument in securing America's superpower status. We have every right to insist that our NATO allies pull their weight, but should always remember the principal reason we've invested so heavily in the alliance to begin with: advancing our own interests.

Here’s a potential populist winning platform for 2028. You won’t like some of these, but they are where we’re headed as a society. If they want to win, Republicans should embrace all or most or risk getting slaughtered. ✅ NO non-defensive wars. ✅ NO foreign aid. ✅ Immigration moratorium. ✅ Close military bases overseas (excluding our hemisphere). ✅ End ‘special relationship’ with Israel (make them just another ally & trading partner). ✅ Cut defense spending in half, at least. ✅ Sound money (gold standard?) ✅ Use savings to expand Medicaid so it’s accessible to everyone on a graduated income scale. Leave private insurance in place but encourage competition. (You don’t like this, but something is going to have to be done.) ✅ At least begin a discussion about a very basic UBI as a replacement for all welfare. (Again, you probably don’t like this, but it’s where we’re headed, like it or not, especially when AI replaces a huge chunk of jobs.) Remember, the idea is to patch together enough issues so that a majority of Americans can sign on. To do that, we are going to have to abandon some things that conservatives traditionally would have stood for. If we do, we can get the most important things, like an immigration moratorium. Would leftists trade, for example, an immigration moratorium for universal healthcare? Many probably would, at least enough to push a Republican over the edge. Populism is the future. I don’t even necessarily agree with everything on this platform, but I think whoever ran on it could win.

I'm that voting block. I attended 42 rallies, I was a Front Row Joe, 3 times I walked the hall of congress for Trump, became a state delegate, then a national delegate all to show support for Trump. Today, I find him repulsive and it began when he said "are we still talking about Epstein".

@MinuteofZombie Some things can be reversed easily, like the tariffs. If we lose the straits of Hormuz, gas prices and the broader economy will be burdened. Our relationship with our allies is completely destroyed and neither Vance or Rubio can save it. They are the worst two for the job.

I can’t decide if Vance, Rubio and Hegseth have completely lost control of the administration and the war or if their boneheaded idea of 5D chess is Trump utterly devastating the economy and American posture abroad so that when he dies it’s actually very easy to make sudden and dramatic improvements and then taking all the credit.
