“I trusted in Him not just in the good, but in the bad [this season]. I understand that suffering is good for us, as followers of Jesus. I’m taking that into my next route in [pastoral] ministry - Just leading people by example, as a servant, like Jesus was.” - High Point Guard Chase Johnston after their loss vs Arkansas Johnston was wearing a “Jesus Wins” shirt too 👏

The book of Revelation can’t be a linear timeline because in chapter 5 you see the slain Lamb and then in chapter 12 you see the birth of Christ. It is more like prophetic circling around its subject.

JUST IN: Tim Tebow shows senators a map of the United States showing every single location where someone is downloading, sharing, or distributing CSAM. “We are losing the battle, and we are losing the war, and boys and girls are suffering for it…” “Every red dot that is on there is someone that is downloading, sharing, or distributing [CSAM].” “55% to 85% of them are also hands-on offenders, and we know that your average offender has thirteen victims in their lifetime.” “The scale of harm right here in America is, to a certain extent, hard to comprehend, but that's why we're here.”

You’ll find him on podcasts and in pulpits, but everything he does is for social media. He’s the man who has confused being provocative with being profound, who mistakes the ability to offend for the courage to lead. He is the edgelord. thegospelcoalition.org/article/edgelo…

You have as much Jesus in your life that you want. @BCooP

He was DEFEATED ELEVEN TIMES. Attacked. Threatened with DEATH. Nearly blind. Addicted to opium just to function. They told him to stop. He spent forty-six years refusing. His name was William Wilberforce. Born in Hull, 1759. He could have lived a comfortable life. Wealthy family. Safe seat in Parliament. Instead he chose to destroy the most powerful economic system in the British Empire. The slave trade. He didn't fight alone. Thomas Clarkson rode 35,000 miles gathering evidence. Olaudah Equiano, man who had been enslaved himself, gave testimony that no politician could ignore. Wilberforce took their evidence to Parliament. They voted no. He came back. They voted no. He came back. Lost by eight votes. MPs deliberately stayed away so they wouldn't have to choose a side. He came back. Again. And again. And again. By now his eyesight was nearly gone. His body was breaking. He'd been on opium since he was 29. Twenty years after he started, they voted again. 283 to 16. The slave trade was abolished. But he wasn't finished. Slavery itself was still legal. He fought for another twenty-six years. In July 1833, lying in bed, barely able to move, he received word. Parliament had voted. Slavery was abolished across the entire British Empire. Three days later, William Wilberforce died. He held on just long enough. They buried him in Westminster Abbey.
