@BuzzPatterson I’d like to see a majority of our troops pulled out of NATO countries that didn’t offer to protect THEIR homelands. I’d love to see the USA get out of, and to quit funding, NATO entirely. They’re similar to the illegals, sucking off of the government teat.

Trump admin is pulling 5,000 American troops out of Germany — and it’s about damn time. NATO screwed the pooch again. For decades we’ve kept nearly 36,000 of our finest warriors stationed there, providing the real muscle, the airpower, the logistics hubs, and the nuclear umbrella that lets Germany sleep safe at night. They’ve chronically shortchanged their own defense spending while we foot the bill so they can pour money into their welfare state and lecture the world. Without Uncle Sam’s shield they know they’re exposed — Russia, Iran, whoever comes next. Their economy, their security, their whole posture depends on American strength and American taxpayers. Yet when we take the fight to Iran, their chancellor runs his mouth and calls us “humiliated?” Wrong. This is America First in action. No more free rides. Our troops aren’t Europe’s unpaid bodyguards forever. Allies either step up and pay their fair share or we bring more of our boys and girls home where they belong. Germany and the rest of NATO — time’s up. Pay up or stand on your own two feet. Trump is fixing what the last crowd broke. 🇺🇸💪 What say you, folks?

I have been wondering about his issue. I posted it “a lot” until I read it was cr@p. To be clear, “beloved” is by those that are on the take. You won’t ever convince me otherwise. Thank you, for continually posting facts. We don’t get enough of this and we need more. Most of us don’t know the details.

Your question suggests five senators could oust him in the middle of his term as leader. That’s not true. In the House of Representatives, a tiny number of lawmakers can oust the speaker—at any time. That feature is unique to the House. In the Senate GOP we don’t even have a rule or procedure for replacing a leader in the middle of a two-year term. It is true that under our rules, any five senators can call for a meeting of the entire conference at any time. But in practice, that kind of meeting tends not to materialize unless a solid majority of the conference wants it to happen. Even if such a meeting were called and even if it actually materialized, it still wouldn’t end as you seem to assume. To pursue the outcome you’re suggesting, one would have to use that meeting to propose a new procedure for a mid-term leadership swap, and that—at a minimum—would require a majority of the conference to support it. For a whole host of reasons—including the fact that Senator Thune is beloved by colleagues and very popular within the conference—the odds of that happening are literally 0 in 100,000.

I’m tired of the Senate’s evergreen excuse for inaction: “We don’t have 60 votes.” There are ways around the 60-vote cloture standard. It’s time to start using them. And stop disingenuously characterizing any refusal to do so as virtuous or conservative. Share if you agree.

That’s a safety feature. I’ve been attacked in my driveway and had a gun stuck to my head after he gained entry. I saw him running up my driveway, was in a rental and couldn’t find the door locks or get the key in the ignition. If that eye scan feature were active in a car I owned, I wouldn’t be allowed to start my car. Stupid, stupid feature for the general public. A serial drunk driver? Sure, add that cr@p on.
