The problem is that Trump is treating running the government like you run a company. Companies are supposed to make a profit and when you see something that is not generating revenue you get rid of it. The government is supposed to break even ( even if it doesn't). It is meant to help the citizens of that country so you set up agencies to do just that. Very few agencies in the government collect revenue ( other than the IRS and other tax agencies). The government is in essence a wealth distribution and protection entity. Firing areas of the government because you are mad at them for whatever reason is not best practice and I can see every one of these agencies being put back in place when a democrat government is elected.

We are destroying our entire scientific community for the idiocy of a few.
