Gen Z “TikTok stars” would have been considered erotic dancers 20 years ago. Many women in my generation won’t know what it’s like to have an identity outside of being sexy for the camera. Is this really the endpoint of liberation we intended?

My team and I recently took a deeper look at low dose aspirin for heart health. The data doesn't support it. If you haven't had a heart attack or stroke, aspirin likely does more harm than good. The ASPREE trial (70+ adults): aspirin showed no heart benefit, increased major bleeding by 38%, and raised all-cause mortality by 14%. Other trials confirm: any cardiovascular benefit is offset by bleeding risk. The exception: if you've already had a heart attack or stroke, aspirin reduces recurrence. More study details: In ASCEND, aspirin reduced serious vascular events by approximately 12% in people with diabetes, but this was offset by an approximately 29% increase in major bleeding, with no mortality benefit. ARRIVE similarly failed to demonstrate meaningful cardiovascular benefit despite increased bleeding. Earlier trials reinforce this pattern: the Women’s Health Study showed reduced ischemic stroke without effects on myocardial infarction or cardiovascular mortality, while the ATT Collaboration meta-analysis demonstrated only modest reductions in serious vascular events accompanied by substantially higher rates of major bleeding, with no effect on all-cause mortality. The evidence reviewed here clearly indicates that low-dose aspirin use is generally unfavorable for the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease, meaning in people who have not yet developed the disease. While aspirin’s antiplatelet effect reduces the risk of arterial thrombosis, it also meaningfully increases bleeding risk. Any potential benefit depends on an individual’s risk of experiencing an occlusive vascular event strongly outweighing their risk of bleeding. As age increases, bleeding risk, including gastrointestinal and intracranial hemorrhage, rises substantially, further worsening the risk–benefit balance and making aspirin progressively less favorable for primary prevention. For secondary prevention, in individuals with established cardiovascular disease who have experienced a prior myocardial infarction or ischemic stroke, the balance more clearly favors benefit over harm. Nonetheless, this remains complicated by the fact that many determinants of bleeding risk, such as age, diabetes, hypertension, and concomitant medication use, also increase atherosclerotic cardiovascular risk, limiting precise individualization. The clearest and strongest case for low-dose aspirin use is therefore in secondary prevention, particularly when initiated early after a confirmed or suspected myocardial infarction or ischemic stroke, where it reduces recurrence and improves survival free of major disability.

The issue is more the sense of double standards. Most guys get resentful when a girl that clearly likes them wants to hold off on sex, because they presume she didn't make other guys wait. This is especially the case with older women who are most angling for commitment. It feels like bad faith / manipulation to guys and they opt out of considering her for something more serious, in large part defensively because they feel she views them as a beta / will use sex to control them later Women have a hard time understanding this response because most of them will actually sleep with a guy they like less overall faster if he's hot enough and it's "right place right time". They know he has no future so they don't delay; the guy they want more seriously meanwhile they make wait because they "don't want to ruin it" and want him to invest more This dual strategy being revealed puts women in a bind, because the natural courtship process of delay and making the guy invest to have sex has now been undermined by her (and other women's) willingness in other scenarios to have sex opportunistically. They have inadvertently penalized the guys they want more, and these guys aren't having it The result is that women who don't want to be promiscuous anymore (and even to a large extent women who never were, because their chastity isn't believed) now lose investment from desirable men - only the desperate ones will wait. If these women try to counter this by putting out fast however these guys often devalue them anyway - it is the male sexual instinct to invest little in easy women This breakdown in trust has led to the destruction of polarity itself, and it is one of the major factors contributing to the overall collapse in the dating market. Exceptional personality chemistry is having to pull more and more weight to make anyone commit to anyone these days - everything else is commoditized So what I'd say to women who want to wait until commitment - first do not expect him to not see other women while you hold off, and second make sure you are bringing something to the table that is distinct and valuable to him in a woman besides sex. The problem is many women who want to hold off do not do this, they think sex with them is the prize, and unfortunately that is the furthest thing from the truth in 2026
Romy@Romy_Holland

the sentiment behind "why would he buy the cow when he can get the milk for free?" is very clearly wrong at an individual level—the reason many guys won't marry the girls they're casually having sex with is because their bar for marriage is much higher than their bar for casual sex. if a guy sees a girl as marriage material, having sex with her won't change this. but it does make sense at a societal level, which is maybe what people were historically trying to enforce. if *no* women will engage in casual/premarital sex, men are forced to date seriously and find someone to commit to if they want to have sex.

These formerly promiscuous women are not being shamed for their sexual past, but their present pride. There are plenty of women who changed their ways and got married but they have the humility or at least social awareness to keep this private, and not to act like they are the face of the Church. The problem with you and most of the other reformed cam girls who become influencers is that your real sin was never lust, it was vanity. You wanted attention. You got it through sex then, now you get it through your "devotion to Christ." But we know if you couldn't show it off to people and no one gave a fuck about your redemption arc you wouldn't care half as much about God, which is what makes this entire "saved subculture" so despicable.

I believe the men who shame repentant women for promiscuity before Christ have porn addictions.

Confession. I know many of you will think I’ve gone crazy saying this, but I want to share what I truly believe. I believe the events that began on October 7 may be the opening chapter of the prophecy of Gog and Magog described by the prophet Ezekiel in the Book of Ezekiel. I believe we have entered the beginning of Messianic times. When I look at what is unfolding—the confrontation with Iran, the dramatic shifts in the Middle East, and the extraordinary role figures like Donald Trump may play in reshaping the region—I cannot help but feel that we are living inside a moment history will one day recognize as prophetic. My personal belief is that Mashiach will arrive this year, even this Thursday on Rosh Chodesh Nissan. It may take years for the world to fully understand what began in this period. Just as when Moses saw the Burning Bush, it took time before the Israelites were actually freed from Egypt. Great redemptions begin quietly before the world realizes what is happening. I truly believe we may be the most blessed generation that has ever lived—because we are witnessing the beginning of redemption itself. I believe the Third Temple will begin to rise around 2030. Lasting, eternal peace will emerge around 2032. This is the blueprint I see when I read Ezekiel, and it fills me with awe. My message is simple: this is a time to get closer to God. Pray a little more than you do now. Study the Bible. Be a good person. Give charity often. Give money to the needy. Help people who can never repay you. And stand with the Jewish people and support Israel. Even if we don’t fully understand what is unfolding, these are extraordinary and miraculous times—and the best thing any of us can do is rise spiritually to meet them. #ModehAni

One of the biggest acquisitions of all time...! We @sequoia are incredibly proud of the @wiz_io team The Israeli tech ecosystem will never be the same -- Wiz raised the bar for everyone Huge congrats to the Wizards! 🪄
doug leone@dougleone

Everyone knows @wiz_io broke a record reaching $100M ARR in 18 months. What everyone doesn’t know is that the team was using a clever hack - leveraging their Israeli time zone. They’d code all day, and then the engineers would get on the phone to make sales calls all night. Everything about Wiz changed fast in the early days - the idea, the product, the market. What never changed was the teamwork of @assaf_rappaport, Yinon Costica, Roy Reznik & @amiluttwak - their clarity of vision, their ability to listen to customers and iterate, and the commitment to moving faster than anyone else could match. Founders: remember that in any technology cycle, in any market, a willingness to outwork everyone else is a superpower. Congrats to @wiz_io. Excited for your next chapter with @Google

Powerful essay by Alana. “Zionism became a target because it represented what Westerners on the right claim to desperately want but are unable to attain, and what Westerners on the left wish to define as impossible: a form of nationalism that is oriented toward the future rather than the past and that is able to defend its own particularism while protecting individual and social freedoms. Here are four survival tests for free societies that, as of today, only Israel passes: 1. Can you maintain your demographics? Israelis have kids above the replacement level, which makes them unique among Western states. Israelis are voting in the most unmistakable and important way for their own future. 2. Can you defend yourself? …”
Alana Newhouse@alananewhouse

Years from now, it will be obvious why, in this specific moment in human history, as we faced high-powered technologies and political ideologies aimed at paving the way for their dominance over humans, what emerged—what had to emerge—was an intense, global debate about, of all things, Zionism. tabletmag.com/feature/zionis…

Tucker Carlson's opprobrious comments against Chabad are disgusting. President Trump and his administration reject this nonsense.
RJC tweet media
Joel Mowbray@joelmowbray

🚨 EXCLUSIVE — Tucker Carlson claims that a sect of Judaism called Chabad is ultimately behind the military strikes on Iran. This might be Tucker's most absurd claim to date. And it's yet another shot at Trump. Why? Well, @jaredkushner & @IvankaTrump have belonged to Chabad in DC, and Kushner helped lead the U.S. negotiations before the strike began last week. As for Tucker's rant about Chabad — which he helpfully spelled for his viewers — it is beyond preposterous. It's also dangerous — Chabad buildings and events have repeatedly been targeted by terrorists. For example, the horrific massacre last December at Bondi Beach in Australia, where 15 were murdered, including Rabbi Eli Schlanger, was a Chabad event. Tucker explained in tonight's monologue that the "real" reason for the strikes on Iran — meaning why Israel, in his telling, is forcing the U.S. to help topple the Mullahs — is to launch a "holy war" for the purpose of destroying the Al Aqsa mosque and the Dome of the Rock in the Old City of Jerusalem, in order to rebuild the Third Temple at the same site. And who does Tucker claim is behind this insidious plot — and thus the military campaign he called "evil"? Chabad. As anyone active in Jewish life knows, Chabad focuses on outreach to its own local Jewish community, particularly to more secular Jews who don't feel connected to a standing synagogue. But because Chabad is not known to almost anyone outside of the Jewish community, it makes for an easy target of dark conspiracy theories. That's why Candace Owens has made Chabad into a villain in her increasingly unhinged rants. But here is why this theory is as crazy as it is dangerous. Chabad is a loosely-knit collection of synagogues (and related community/educational centers), each run by a Rabbi and his wife, who stay in a given community or neighborhood typically for life. Far from being structured like, say, the Catholic Church, each Chabad House raises its own funds. Tucker's "logic" for his outrageous allegations is that Chabad wants to bring about the building of the Third Temple, known in Hebrew as the beit hamikdash. But... how does Chabad actually to bring about the building of the beit hamikdash? Through acts of kindness. Truly by doing good deeds in order to "merit" God rebuilding the Jewish holy site. In fact, Jews have for prayed for the rebuilding of the beit hamikdash — every single day — since shortly after the destruction of the Second Temple almost two thousand years ago. It is literally part of Jews' daily prayers. But it has nothing to do with tearing down an Islamic holy site, let alone starting a holy war. It's a prayer asking God to return us to the elevated state of spirituality that existed during the time of the Temple, and more importantly, for Him to send "Moshiac," or the Messiah. That Tucker would turn ancient Jewish prayers into some kind of sinister plot that is responsible for a very real and ongoing military campaign should be shocking. Sadly, though, it's not. But that doesn't mean that it isn't dangerous. Real people and actual families go to Chabad synagogues, and little kids across the U.S. and in other countries attend Chabad schools and preschools. It takes just one person already on the fringes to use this kind of rhetoric as justification for violence. That's not speculation. It has happened again and again — just in recent years. Yet Tucker is so blinded by his desire to take a swipe at Jared and Ivanka — because he knows he can't attack Trump directly — that he simply doesn't care.

It's not so subtle that the building of the Third Temple and the Messianic era is central not just to Chabad, but to all of Judaism as one of the 13 Principles of Faith. The sum total of the goodness and kindness that each of us do, Jew and non-Jew, usher in an era of world peace, when "Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymorem," where a third Temple "be a house of prayer for all nations." Acts of destruction or the subjugation of other nations are an anathema to a time when good will flow in abundance and the occupation of the entire world, Jew and non-Jew alike, will be to know the divine.

This is the clip nobody wants to share, from the same press conference, in which Rubio specifically rejects the idea that he was suggesting Israel forced Trump into war.
Rapid Response 47@RapidResponse47

"Was the US forced to strike because of an impending Israeli action?" @SecRubio: "No... No matter what, ultimately, this operation needed to happen — that's the question of 'why now?' But this operation needed to happen because Iran, in about a year or a year and a half, would cross the line of immunity, meaning they would have so many short-range missiles, so many drones, that no one could do anything about it because they could hold the whole world hostage. Look at the damage they're doing now — and this is a weakened Iran. Imagine a year from now. So, that had to happen. Obviously, we were aware of Israeli intentions and understood what that would mean for us, and we had to be prepared to act as a result of it — but this had to happen no matter what."
