Trump is not going to send troops into Kharg Island. It would be a high-risk move for little gain, and almost certainly lead to a significant escalation and further US and partner pain. After which, he’d have the same options on a deal he has now. So why float this improbable scenario and further harm US credibility?

Tom Hardy didn’t receive any Oscar recognition for playing the Kray twins, Reggie and Ronnie, in the 2015 film Legend. I never really understood why & I still don’t understand. I think Hardy’s work here is comparable to MBJ’s work in Sinners- both crushed two roles at once.
