Believe it or not, you don't have to choose between the President and the Pope. Trump is trying to save the country and Pope Leo is trying to save our souls. They both serve God's mission in different ways, and I refuse to accept the narrative that they're on different sides. 🙏

I'm just a new Catholic so my opinion is not worth much, but it seems to me that a better use of our energy than bickering about the Pope and protestants would be to pray and go to confession.

No. Sometimes it's not practical to leave a dog home or in a car. I agree you shouldn't take a dog with dirty feet that jumps on people into stores. But that is irrelevant. That's like saying no one should take their children out in public because some lousy parents' kids are brats.

Nobody is required to love your dog. I know I sound like a prick. But stop bringing them in stores. Just last Friday, I stopped in a store and a guy in checkout has his dog and it jumps on me as I walk past them. “Oh he just loves people” they say obliviously. So? I’m having to go to customers and the dog got dirt streaks on the thigh of my pants. And spare me the “if you don’t like it, don’t go in the store” bullshit. If you can’t make it through a store without your dog, it’s not me with the issues. I had a dog. It was a great dog. Best part of our family at times. But I expect NOBODY to have to deal with my occasionally over-excited dog, especially in a public place. I’d never have even thought of bringing a dog (I’ve seen it twice now) in a restaurant. Hell, if a person came over my house who was uncomfortable with it acting up, I’d take him in the other room. And for those with actual service pets? You really should speak up, because the people who don’t have well trained dogs are going to lose you that privilege. *end rant

Pope Leo grew up in Chicago. I grew up in Lebanon. I wasn't forced to leave Lebanon because there was peaceful coexistence. I was forced to leave Lebanon because Islamic terrorists blew up my home and killed many of the people I grew up with. I wish the Pope would talk to the persecuted Lebanese before making ignorant statements about countries he knows very little about.
