Hello. We recently hired Jude Law to be the face of our brand. So, moving forward, we would prefer that you associate him with precise drafting, seamless collaboration and the ability to analyze thousands of legal documents simultaneously. In line with his contract, something like, “Oh, wow, he makes me think of that collaborative AI platform for exceptional lawyers!” would be an ideal ask. But we don’t want to push it.

The name is almost too good. But the reason we did this isn't the wordplay. We believe this is the most exciting time in history to be a lawyer. Never before have this many brilliant people been working on tools designed to improve and delight lawyers' lives.
This campaign is us saying so. With a little more flair than the usual go-to-market.

"So You Want to be a VC" Im enjoying this week in Boston visiting students promoting my new book - Runnin Down a Dream. Not surprisingly, many ask me about trying to break into venture capital. I wrote a letter answering this question 15 years ago. I would send it out when people inquired. Excited to share an AI-driven solution to the open problem posed by Rudin, Schapire, and Daubechies in COLT 2012: "Does AdaBoost Always Cycle?"

This was an attempt to push the limits of autonomous mathematical research. It's stunning to see what GPT 5.4 Pro & Opus 4.6 are capable of.
AdaBoost is among the most widely used boosting algorithms, but its asymptotic behavior still isn't fully understood. This particular problem asks if its distributions always converge to a cycle for every {-1, +1}-valued matrix, and has been open for the past 14 years!
Working with GPT and Claude, we identify a counterexample and show that it does not converge with a certificate. What's most striking to me is just how much heavy-lifting the models did to get to the solution. The whole process was also shockingly quick.
This result further signals AI's ability to advance real scientific research. While many Erdős problems have (very impressively) been solved, this exact question was published as an open research problem of real interest to the CS and ML theory communities.

I am super excited to share that @Starcloud_ has raised a $170M Series A at a $1.1bn valuation to fuel our development of data centers in space 🚀 The round comes after the successful deployment of our first satellite, Starcould-1, a few months ago, which had the first @NVIDIA H100 on board and was the first to train an LLM in space. The funds will be used to develop our third satellite, which aims to be cost-competitive with Earth-based data centers in terms of AI inference cost. With the IBM’s $11B acquisition of Confluent officially closing, I want to say congrats to the entire team for navigating the tricky course
from open source Kafka support
to open core
to single-tenant cloud
to multi-tenant cloud
and all the ensuing GTM changes along the way
and 5 (chaotic) years as a public co.
The company relentlessly built >$1B business (actual revenue not last wk x 52 :-)) under the incredible leadership of @jaykreps and fantastic execution from the team.
On a personal note I've been lucky enough to serve on the board from Day 1 to Day End through our investment @benchmark. It was my first investment and I learned so much along the way.
