Gerrymandering is a hot topic these days. Illinois democrats wrote the book on it. Look at this map and consider that 14 out of 17 congressional districts are somehow blue. Illinois is not an overwhelmingly progressive state. Illinois is a state with overwhelmingly gamed elections.
