Good lord. It wasn't a close call. If there was no defender there, and Cooks had surrendered possession the exact way he did, and the ball rolled away, nobody in the world would be claiming it was a Completed Pass. Cooks surrendered possession as soon as he hit the ground. That means it's Not a Complete Pass. McMillian Gained Possession, with the ball never hitting the ground. Also known as an Interception. It wasn't close. It wasn't debatable. It wasn't a Catch.

The whole thing smelled. Even after Sean McDermott called timeout, the review seemed very rushed. It was an incredibly close call. Shouldn't have happened that fast. The league's developed a trust issue with its fans with this stuff.
