Audit: 15. Set up a monthly tracker on spending, investing and net worth to stay on track 16. Try and grow net worth by at least 1% every month (you’ll be amazed at how quick it grows)

Today at 35 years old, I sit at over £700k net worth. 10 years ago I was close to £0. Here are my 16 steps I've taken to get there. I hope they are helpful to someone ↓

@katehooperx The fact you are investing anything at all puts you ahead of most people.

Investment of the day 📈 £100 in $VWRP ✅ £10 in $NVDA ✅ It can be hard not to compare yourself to what others have invested and seeing how much is in there portfolios, but everyone started somewhere🙏🏼

You invest in the S&P 500 in your ISA. The S&P 500 goes up 10%. Your return in GBP? Maybe 7%. Welcome to currency risk. Here's what happens: Your fund is priced in USD. When the pound strengthens against the dollar your returns shrink. When the pound weakens your returns grow. You can be right about the market. And still underperform because of currencies. The fix for UK investors: → Buy GBP denominated funds. VUAG not VOO. → UCITS regulated. LSE listed. → No currency conversion eating your returns silently. Same index. Same companies. Right wrapper.

The top 10 stocks now make up 37% of the S&P 500. That’s near historic extremes - and even higher than the dot-com bubble by some measures. Should you be worried? Here’s what the data actually says 🧵

@katehooperx Lump sum when isa allowance is renewed then DCA every month automatically with the rest off the allowance.

How do you approach index fund investing?📈 1. Invest all your monthly savings straight away? 2.Keep cash in a separate savings account and drip-feed into the fund? Interested to hear what most people do👇🏼

Just moved my full ISA allocation into $VWRP from $VUAG Also added another £70✅ By the end of the month I want at least 1k in there. Then I’m going to start learning and looking into other stocks👀 Small moves today. Big results tomorrow. Consistency compounds 📈

I want to connect with more UK based investors, investing through their ISA. Similar like minded people to myself. Tag your favourite accounts below and I’ll make sure I’m following them!

I’m bullish on nuclear as I think the massive need for power for AI needs to come from somewhere. I think space innovators with get more retail attention now after the SpaceX IPO also. Agree with what your saying with keeping positions more concentrated though for more conviction, hence why i’ve sat on the fence for past few weeks🤔

I've been doing a lot of thinking about my portfolio lately. I'm spread across too many positions and I think it's costing me conviction. My thesis is simple: semiconductors/ quantum computing are the infrastructure layer of the next industrial revolution. Every industry on the planet - healthcare, defence, energy, farming, finance, manufacturing - runs on chips. That's not slowing down. So I'm seriously considering restructuring around 4 core ETFS: VWRP - the anchor SMGB - semiconductor supercycle conviction JEQP - monthly income engine to buy more shares with in my maxed SS ISA QNTM - quantum computing, the next layer Then alongside my boost pie of smaller cap names. Pie: trading212.com/pies/ltzntt0aH… Less positions. More conviction. Let the thesis do the work. Thinking out loud here - is this the right move? Would welcome thoughts.
