People overestimate how easy it is to consistently make an extra 5 figures on the side in only a couple hours a week. Anyone should be able to do it. I did it across 3 ventures last year and broke 6 figures total, all while working a demanding role at beehiiv and being consistently present with my wife and kids, and actively involved in my local community. If you learn how to build tight, repeatable processes you can effectively quadruple your output without changing actual hours worked. Downside: filing my taxes is a nightmare.

@HeatherACofer During our month in the NICU several years ago, our church community carried us through - brought meals, prayed for us, cut our grass, hung in there with us when we were spent. Forever grateful for their help carrying us through.

Last summer our church body brought us meals for *three months* while the babies were in the NICU and while we adjusted to life as a family of ten. The beginning of this year we hit another difficult stretch, and they asked if some more meals would be helpful. Guys. They have brought us almost as many meals the past two months as they did this summer. That’s with several other meal trains for families having new babies, too, and our church isn’t massive. There have also been countless texts of encouragement and letting us know they’re praying and asking if there are any other needs that can be met. Last night as I was dishing out yet another meal made by loving hands (and my kids were playing with an activity they also brought), the tears came to my eyes. This generosity felt like too much to receive, and I told the Lord that. But I felt like He prompted my heart to let this drive home just how overwhelming His love is for His children. For me. The significance of God’s people loving His people is something I feel like I’ve just barely scratched the surface of comprehending. But I tell you what, being part of a church like this is an unbelievable gift. A church where sound doctrine is preached by faithful shepherds, it sinks in deeply to the hearers hearts, and bears fruit through their lives by God’s grace. It’s precious beyond words.

@SteezMayn Not surprised it works. Anytime we run any type of outdoor media in real life, bus ad, billboard, etc we always grab photos for social because those photos get tons of engagement.

But her greatest title isn’t “Olympian.” It’s being a mother of two precious deaf children — one with Down syndrome — and being openly Christian, placing God above every medal. “God put me here for a specific reason, and I don’t think it’s just to win medals. At the end of the day, I’m in this sport to glorify God, so if that means I come in last place, or I win the gold medal, that’s what I’m going to do.”
