Thank you for sharing that. Its most appreciated. Hallelujah that scripture is the authority we look to define worship. I agree that Sola Scriptura is the way to go. I agree with 2 Peter 1 that its shouldn't be from ones own interpretation of scripture. However you didn’t actually answer any of my points on worship you just restated sola scriptura and bounced. You responded with authority when I was looking for application. Let’s actually open the Book real quick: Worship biblically is both heart (proskuneo) AND whole-life service (latreuo-Romans 12:1). Jesus in John 4:23-24 said true worship is “in spirit and truth”: heart-driven by the Holy Spirit, lined up with God’s Word, not tied to one building, one style, or one culture’s rules. The Father is seeking people who do it that way. But Scripture never hands us a detailed checklist or says “your interpretation is the only one.” Romans 14 straight-up says on disputable matters (like days, food… and yeah, worship expressions) we don’t judge each other; each of us answers to God, not to the guy next to us. Psalms command dancing, clapping, loud noise AND quiet reverence. 1 Cor 14 says do it decently and in order so the church gets built up… but Paul didn’t ban the passion, he just regulated it. So yeah, to each their own-so long as it’s directed to the true God, in spirit and truth, builds up the body, and matches Scripture. That’s not “my truth.” That’s the Bible leaving room for freedom in the body while holding the line on the heart. You dropped the authority verse but skipped the actual application. There is freedom in the Body of Christ in the way we worship. We just need to approach the way others worship with grace and charity. Otherwise its just my way or no way. I dont believe God really meant it to be that way.

Thank you for the response. I agree with the verse you shared. I just have some points that need cleared up. If you would please: Define Worship Define who gets to determine what worshipping in Spirit and Truth means Define what Worshipping in Spirit and Truth is What is freedom in the body of Christ? Is your interpretation the only way? How do we know what is true and proper worship when its not fully and clearly defined in the bible? These are all great questions that many do not answer on their way of telling others how they must worship God. The way I see it everyone has a different way of defining worship. Everyone claims that their way is the only way to worship. There is freedom in the Body of Christ to worship God as one sees fit. So long as it is done biblically and faithfully. Each have their way of determining and defining this. Who am I to tell others that the way they worship (so long as it is biblically sound) is wrong or right? Some dance and sing praise Some pray and sing hymns. Some use the alter some don't. Some take the Eucharist/communion every mass/church service, others do it once a month. Its not about forcing others into one style of worship. Rather accepting that others worship differently and seeing that people are worshipping God. God knows who is genuine and who does it falsely. So why do we take it upon ourselves to tell others they are wrong when its God that ultimately determines what is right or wrong worship? Why do intentionally divide ourselves because of our viewpoint on a secondary issue? The key is not seeing that only "my" way of worship is what matters. Rather people giving worship to God in the way they are comfortable with and know how is what truly matters. Its not about man's way of worshipping God. Its about the fact that God being the true God is being worshipped as He truly deserves in a way that is honoring and reverential to the True God. If only people would have a more open heart and mind to see that their way isnt the only way so long as it is directed in the proper place. The biggest divide between fellow members of the Body is about worship. Why should it be divisive if we all are worshipping the True God whom is Spirit and Truth. So yes there really is a "to each their own". So long as we give others the same Grace and Charity that was given to us. Thats the beauty of the freedom Christs affords us. Instead we use it as club instead of receiving it and giving back in the manner it was given. Freely and openly. This is how I see things. Worship is not a black and white picture. Its a fully colored picture that only works when all the colors are allowed to be shown. The only way to do that is to allow God to be the artist and we just focus on blending the colors he uses.

Yes, he still believed in perpetual virginity, whether right or wrong, it’s an open handed issue. Let us not bite and devour one another (Galatians 5:15).

Rather, Christ Jesus says, “…the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:23
