I don’t know anything about oil. The one lesson I learned from 2022 was whenever oil folks start talking about “paper vs physical markets” or “paper market getting it all wrong” that it’s time to run as far away from oil as I can and take comfort that the worst is basically over.

Iran lost the initiative. The drop in oil prices and the balance in the stock market is a W for the Americans.
This can be reversed but I’m not quite sure what Iran is negotiating, USA and Israel will never let Iran keep their nuclear program nor their missile program, and Netanyahu has made it clear that Israel will not withdraw from Lebanon with or without a deal.
Hopefully I’m just stupid and Iran has a master plan.

This newest move from Trump confirms that he has a plan, has a timeline, and is thinking many steps ahead.
Trump removed Chinese influence over Panama Canal, took out Maduro, and gained control of Venezuela’s oil supply, because he knew this standoff with Iran would happen.
Anyone claiming Trump doesn’t have a plan or is dumb, is just objectively wrong. You might not like Trump or agree with his plan, but the fact that he has a plan, is incontrovertible.
All the pundits and “experts” were, are, and will continue to be, dead wrong about everything.

So, this prediction is already wrong, because Starship has already made it to orbital velocity, it’s just that the lowest part of the orbit, the perigee, was deliberately placed inside the atmosphere so if there was loss of control the spaceship would reenter at a known location because of atmospheric drag instead of potentially becoming a hazard. They could have slightly changed the trajectory in order to have the low point of the orbit above the top of the atmosphere, but they deliberately chose not to for test safety reasons.
So this person is failing to predict the past, not simply failing to predict the future.
Assuming they actually are some sort of aerospace engineer, this is a fine demonstration of the fact that argument from authority is a pretty bad way to reason.

No one is “conserving ammo”.
Much like during the 12-Day War, Iran has been forced to “use it or lose it” in regards to their TEL capabilities. They are slowly but surely being attrited.
As they are attrited, Israeli and U.S. ISR will have a harder time locating what remains.
