The Trump EO on mail in ballots may be BRILLIANT - States run elections per the Constitution. Don't fight them on that ....... BUT - the mail system is Federal, you want to use that - follow our rules.

NOW - Trump signs executive order curbing mail-in ballot fraud, requiring Homeland Security to prepare a list of citizens eligible to vote in each state, require the Postal Service to only send absentee ballots to voters on the list and mandate those ballots have envelopes and barcodes for tracking.

I used to work on offshore oil rigs. The generators that power them are the size of a small house. One day a technician forgot to lock out;tag out while he was checking why we were having voltage drops on the pump floor. A supervisor came by and saw the third generator was off and decided to fire it up. I was in the room trying to find a replacement pump sensor when it clicked. Boom pop zap. I saw a human explode, turn to plasma, then carbonize. The sound and and smell never leave.

Washington residents are leaving our state in record numbers. For decades Washington was a destination for entrepreneurs, engineers, and small business owners looking for business friendly policies in a beautiful location. That all changed in 2021 when Washington Democrats passed an unconstitutional capital gains tax. In the years since, Democrats have increased the sales tax, the B&O tax, almost doubled the already highest estate tax from 20% to 35%, created the CCA tax that made WA gas prices near the highest in the nation, and have now passed another unconstitutional income tax. After passing all these taxes and claiming that they were doing it to address "affordability" the Democrats provided almost no tax relief to anyone (they did reduce sales tax on shampoo, however). No state has seen such a dramatic shift in policy in our nation's history. Within a few short years Washington went from a politically moderate state (policy wise) to the most business unfriendly state in the nation. This transformation is causing massive wealth flight from our state, which in turn is hollowing out the state's tax base. For years the Democrats dismissed concerns of wealth flight as merely "anecdotal". Ironically, the Democrats panicked after passing their massive increase to our state's estate tax based only on Senator Jamie Pedersen hearing "anecdotal reports that some high-net-worth residents are considering relocation". They then undid the increase in the estate tax setting it back to 20% (which is still the highest in the nation). The truth is we've lost billions of dollars worth of wealth from our state and the talent that was once attracted to migrating to Washington is no longer coming. Unless there is a major change in Washington state soon, the economic future of our state is extremely grim.
