Codex just got a lot more powerful. Computer use, in-app browser, image generation and editing, 90+ new plugins to connect to everything, multi-terminal, SSH into devboxes, thread automations, rich document editing. Learns from experience and proactively suggestions work. And a ton more.

@mingjie wondering how the pricing model of Linear Agent would be once itโ€™s out of beta. itโ€™s great that we can use it for all sorts of things but itโ€™s not sustainable right?

Talked to an enterprise customer today who told me that their biggest power user of Linear does it almost exclusively through MS teams. For a certain class of user chat is 100% the best interface to interact with all of their software.
Linear@linear

Linear is now available for Microsoft Teams. Mention @Linear in any Teams channel and the agent will create issues informed by your conversation's context.

We are super excited to launch the in-app browser inside Codex with comment mode! View any web pages & iterate with your agent quickly with just point and click. Codex will automatically capture a screenshot, the DOM element, and feed it as precise context to your next chat. No more switching between browsers, dragging screenshots, and wrangling with underspecified prompts. It's great for front-end development of apps/pages, but also very useful if you have documentation pulled up on the side and just want to ask a question!

I rarely do interviews or talk about my personal life, but I made an exception for the team at @firstround. Their writer spent hours at my house. We talked about why I started Lenny's Newsletter, what motivates me to keep building it, and a lot of things I don't usually share publicly. It's an intimate look at what my life is actually like outside of what most people see on the podcast. Check it out: review.firstround.com/reluctantly-inโ€ฆ

I really want a copy of this book in English translation. Not for entitlement, but because my grandson is on the spectrum and I would like to coordinate with his current therapies. Unfortunately I donโ€™t read, speak, or understand Korean. Is there any chance the clinic and or Yoongi would produce the book in other languages for many of us outside of Korea that would like to utilize the program?

Apple shipped macOS Tahoe with an icon next to every single menu item. And in doing so, destroyed the entire point of icons. An icon is a signal, and signals only work through contrast. The moment everything has one, none of them mean anything, you've just added noise that looks like clarity. Apple even reuses the same icon for completely different actions. The right menu is my take: icons only on the actions you actually reach for daily: New Window, New Tab, Close. Everything else stays clean. Your eye knows exactly where to go. The left is Tahoe. Every item screaming at the same volume. Apple's own 1992 design guidelines called out every single one of these mistakes. Thirty years later, they made all of them. Adding more is not the same as adding value. What's your take?

To make a team-level agent work well, I think there are several principles: 1. The agent must have permissions and data access to all tools used by the team, ensuring a single agent can obtain all the context available to any human; 2. The agentโ€™s interaction entry point must exist within any tool used by a person, ensuring that when people use other people or tools, interactions with the agent go through a unified entry interface; 3. The agent must be able to autonomously maintain and manage a unified memory or history that syncs across sessions from a single member and across multiple team members, so the agentโ€™s capabilities can continuously evolve.

founders, genuine question for you how do your partners react when youโ€™re 100% focused on building? i always have little quarrels with my wife about my attention. i work 9โ€“5 and build Screen Charm on the side. it takes almost all my time, and sometimes i forget things, which makes my wife upset. she even feels a bit jealous of the product. but at the same time, i feel like without putting in this level of effort, both building and promoting nothing will work. and if youโ€™re not willing to sacrifice a lot, whatโ€™s the point of trying? how do you handle it?

@gregisenberg there are business triggers and there are personal triggers. iโ€™d assume Apple still has a strong hand in the game because they basically own all personal hardware, which has a lot of sensors gathering data to be triggered by personal behavior.

claude code just shipped routines you tell it what to do, point it at your project, set a trigger, and it runs 24/7 on their servers with your laptop closed i immediately thought of larry ellison: "the money is never in the technology, it's in the infrastructure the technology runs on" the model is the commodity. the trigger is the product. and whoever maps the most valuable real world events to the most specific industry workflows is going to build something massive here's what i mean by trigger.... a permit gets filed. a customer's usage drops 40% in a week. a competitor launches a feature. a deal sits in your pipeline untouched for 14 days. a contract hits 90 days before renewal. a stripe payment fails. these are all triggers. some public, some inside your own tools and every single one is a moment where an AI agent can step in and do something valuable before a human gets around to it the playbook is like this: map every trigger that matters in one industry โ†’ wire an AI agent to each one โ†’ sell the outcome. the person who shows up first with exactly what someone needs at exactly the right moment wins the deal every time and the people who go embarrassingly deep on one industry's trigger map are going to build generational companies that's the entire game right now for people reading this tweet. claude routines, openclaw, hermes etc... the infrastructure is all here. just pick your niche build audiences/content to get awareness wire the agents to triggers start selling and pinch yourself that this is the greatest time in history to be starting a company let's go
Claude@claudeai

Now in research preview: routines in Claude Code. Configure a routine once (a prompt, a repo, and your connectors), and it can run on a schedule, from an API call, or in response to an event. Routines run on our web infrastructure, so you don't have to keep your laptop open.

We have help center docs, but I hate them! If AI can answer, no one wants to read the doc. Users are lazy. And keeping docs up-to-date is PITA! The code is already in the repo. AI can read it and explain it. The help center feels just like busywork.

I keep thinking I miss having someone like Steve Jobs in the industry. He had some standards. He cared about quality, coherence, and making great products. He could be ruthless and he had plenty of flaws, but it still felt like he and Apple were trying to make something genuinely great above all else. They had their opinions and you could respect that. They didn't try to force you, but make their case why they think it's good. Now tech feels driven by trend chasing, fear, scale, revenue comparisons, endless games and everyone talks their book. Investors come first, business goals next, and users last if not at all. I wish there would still someone like Steve still around
