The children are punished for wearing school uniform because school branded jumpers are "winter wear." (April is officially summer so it's never cold? )🤔 I do hope the BBC has got this story wrong. I don't want to believe any school would do this. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

James O'Brien completely dismantles Nigel Farage on LBC. He exposes a glaring contradiction where Farage calls Olly Robbins the enemy within in 2018, only to praise him as a highly professional civil servant today. The political hypocrisy is undeniable.

Remember Dan Price...that CEO who took a pay cut so he could pay all his employees a minimum annual wage of $70,000? Here’s what happened next: “Six years later after the decision that others said would destroy his business, Dan reports that revenue has tripled, the customer base has doubled, 70% of his employees have paid down debt, many bought homes for the first time, 401(k) contributions grew by 155% and turnover dropped in half. His business is now a Harvard Business School case study.” In his own words: “6 years ago today I raised my company's min annual salary to $70k. Fox News called me a socialist whose employees would be on bread lines. Since then our revenue tripled, we're a Harvard Business School case study & our employees had a 10x boom in homes bought. Always invest in people.” Courtesy of Craig Henley

Having worked out that voters don’t like it when you threaten to dismantle one of the UK’s greatest achievements - the NHS -, he resorts to bare face lying. Be clear, there is no doubt that if he gets into power, the NHS will be over.

🚜 Brazil: "Bournemouth are not bigger than Ipswich! What have Bournemouth won!?" 😬 McCoist: "Ooooo... we've touched a nerve!" Alan Brazil was fuming with the suggestion that #AFCB are a bigger club than #ITFC as Kieran McKenna is linked with the Cherries job! 👀

@DevelopingH @Headteacherchat I couldn't agree more. This exemplifies one of the many problems with MATs. The interference by directors into matters that should be entirely personal.

@Headteacherchat My approach is it’s my office and I will have it as I want it thank you v. much! I have balance of personal items/pics in the corner/desk in which I work at but then seating area to meet doesn’t have much in. Parents seem to like to see the personal pic/items, makes you ‘human’.

Anonymous post: As a Headteacher, my office walls have become a small gallery of thank-you notes and children’s creations—warm reminders of the relationships and community we work to build. During a recent visit, my Trust Director smiled and asked: “You hold meetings in here?!” It’s made me reflect: what do you choose to display in your office or on your noticeboard? How do you balance a polished professional space with one that still feels personal—or clearly pupil-centred? I’d genuinely love to hear how others approach it.

Teresa Murray@TeresaM33982758

@tombennett71 Totally agree. However since we have barely left the early medicine stage of ed evidence ourselves, we must be prepared for many more questions to be asked and answered in reading instruction, ( where they constantly ask themselves hard questions), math ed and behaviour andrest

@HifiSean well surreal moment in our house. I thought my partner had listened to FT as much as I had. I've just put it on and it's like watching an auricular revelation, she's actually gone to put on more comfortable clothes to jump about in. The gift that keeps giving 🤗

@BarryNSmith79 No Barry we treat kids with respect. We treat them as growing, developing young people ready to learn, think for themselves, have minds of their own. We don't teach them to be compliant.

Facial expression, tone of voice, body language, choice of words. Children treat staff with contempt over & over. We accept. We rarely correct. That’s condoning & encouraging. We think young overly forward kids are funny & cute.
Fixing Education@FixingEducation

Schools are now structured so that the overwhelming number of student misbehaviors essentially have ZERO consequences. This is horrible for teachers…but it’s even worse for the students who want to learn!

@raelbrav @mattdowning5 Oh dear Real you have missed the point haven't you. Aside from the fact that Mark invited an agent of division into a community, his worst offence was his management of the aftermath. Lying and gaslighting might be fine for Reform but it isn't good enough for Tractor boys/girls

Good evening, Deborah Meaden. How very revealing. You, the dried-up, multi-millionaire Dragons’ Den old hag, now lecture the British public that Ed Davey and the Lib Dems are the “Grown Ups back in the room” because you just creamed yourself over a clip of Davey attacking North Sea Oil and praising Starmer. The sheer, brain-rotted delusion of a rich, out-of-touch pensioner calling the party that can’t define what a woman is “grown-up politics” is actually fucking hilarious. One does so admire a bitter old bag who sits in her ivory tower of wealth, completely removed from the real Britain she loves to lecture, sneering at anyone who dares say the bleeding obvious: a woman is an adult human female no penis, no debate, no matter how much you and your deranged Lib Dem friends wish otherwise. Yet here you are, an actual biological woman, desperately defending the party that has turned basic biology into a “divisive” issue while cheering child mutilation, open borders and the deliberate freezing of British families. How very civilised, you pathetic, virtue-signalling fossil. The video you’re drooling over shows Davey parroting the same net-zero insanity that is bankrupting the country, while the man himself helped cover up the Post Office scandal that ruined countless lives. And you call this “grown-up”? You’re not wise, Deborah, you’re a smug, senile, out-of-touch old crone who has spent years playing the billionaire dragon on TV while your beloved Lib Dems help turn Britain into a biological and cultural lunatic asylum. The British public sees you clearly now, Deborah Meaden, a contemptible, shrivelled, brain-dead old cunt, a dried-up, irrelevant, millionaire fossil so far removed from reality that you still desperately simper and drool over the Lib Dems like a sad, decaying pensioner trying to stay relevant. Feel that deep, crushing, soul-destroying shame burning through your hollow core. Feel how utterly pathetic, ridiculous and embarrassing you look at your age still defending the party of child mutilators, groomers and open border zealots while Britain is destroyed. Wear that humiliation and failure like the expensive clothes hanging off your withered old body as the nation you claim to care about is fucked into oblivion around you. Britain First. No Surrender. 🦁🇬🇧

The Grown Ups are back in the room… good work @EdwardJDavey and @LibDems for picking up on the things you differ on, recognise when you do agree and respectfully focus on issues that are real not just raised to be divisive. How I wish we saw more of this…

In light of the @suttontrust report, maybe it is time for you to be talking about the quiet curse of exclusion by stealth @Rory_Gribbell @Ofstednews The low expectations these schools have of our children with SEND is something that needs rooting out.

On school uniform... Even among Teacher Tapp users, 46% of secondary school respondents say they don't want smart uniform. For primaries, 77% of staff don't want smart uniform. Parents don't want it. Kids don't want it. This is the 21st century, not the 19th. Let's move on.

It is difficult to understand how key figures such as @Rory_Gribbell and @dan_ofsted can continue to defend @Ofstednews when facts and evidence show it to be a clear and present danger. There appears to have been an integrity bypass in some quarters.
