@GSawch no loophole. Have salary cap in playoffs now. If Oilers put him on LTIR, they can only use $3.8m (ish) and not he full $14m. So not really the same.

Oilers will likely put Draisaitl on LTIR to open up space to recall a forward and/or a D-man. They only have 12 healthy forwards and six healthy D at the moment. Could use the space to their advantage.

Gavin McKenna has been charged with felony aggravated assault, misdemeanour simple assault, and two summary offenses, per @OnwardState.
McKenna allegedly assaulted an individual while at a bar with his team, leaving them with a broken jaw.
McKenna could face jail time.

It wouldn't be surprising if Carter Hart is the only of the 5 defendants to testify. When there are multiple defendants, it's not unusual to pick one defendant to speak for the others. Lawyers would pick the most articulate and reliable of the 5 and that would seem to be Hart.

@VoiceofSask306 I don't disagree but a hockey player's mentality is to win (or lose) while on the ice. Professional athletes want to influence the outcome not be sitting on the bench. It's a mentality that's helped them achieve athletic excellence.

@EricMacramalla (1) Arguably C.Hart has the most to lose athletically / financially. Of the group he was the Bona Fide NHL player. (2) Positionally, Goalie is mentally strong and doesn't buckle under pressure. He's trying to make the biggest save of his life, once again for the team.
