Tbt to when you could make a career out of riding the 9month ramp with guaranteed OTE period and then job hop into the next role WITH a paybump Some people made out like bandits. - 4 roles, 6mo each, OTE pay No free lunch tho, the sales gods came to collect The smart ones did 1-2 strategic job hops, upgraded tittle, and buckled down Promos that used to take 9mo now take 18mo, smart ones squeezed that out and are cruising now

@BowTiedCocoon The amount of careers that got derailed because of greedy job hopping in '21 and '22 is rarely discussed. Many ended up getting laid off because they wanted to MAXIMISE THE BASE PAY rather than focus on building a reputation and competence in an org that was already solid.

For SDR roles, yes. SDR is truly entry level. They want motivated talent that is willing to prove they can survive and thrive. As someone said in the past, “its an incubator role” Any non sales exp you just have to sell it during the interview on how it made you a ready seller or gave you transferable skills Most SDRs comes straight out of college, restaurant exp, random corporate exp, ex military, etc. Most font have sales backgrounds at all Shoot your shot

Don't see anyone talking about it but the layoff bloodbath is over. Open tech jobs are up 37% from the bottom in March. Combine that with interest rates heading down + likely trump win, we should be back to 2019 esque job market by 2026.

Agreed mine doesnt offer FBTC or IBIT, id go hard on those but Strike x ColdCard do it even better FXAIX is nice enough it really depends on the 401k setup and funds available. 10% penalty is sexy af, mine only allows early withdrawal if you leave Co or someone dies in your fam

Most of the time you can pull it all out and take the 10% penalty plus income tax. In theory, if your company match is solid and you can choose the investments while in it, it’s a nice way to force yourself to build some savings that you do have optionality with. I’ve been dumping mine into greyscale bitcoin trust for years and now fidelity bitcoin ETF

Unicorns with Equity/RSUs that are liquid and worth something create two interesting types 5-8yrs ago they took a random role, straight out of college for $80-150k and some equity per year with 0 expectations 5+yr later their equity is mid/high-6figs, some even 7figs (not counting personal investments) If they stick around, Type A, Brings that C-Suite/Founder Aura + contagious gratefulness for life Type B, Believes they are the most gifted person alive, who is untouchable and worthy of all
