@Ziegler_Dev Can consoles get a Performance mode in the future, idk how many consoles could hit 120 fps with it but it’d really be nice especially on the Pro since its going up in price rn 😭

Part of evolving our game is making sure we're continuing to find better ways to improve the technical performance of it. In the mean time, we wanted to make sure we're providing assistance for anyone on PC that is looking to optimize their framerate better. We’ve heard your feedback that having Ranked and Cryo Archive overlap can make it difficult to decide where to spend your time and hard-earned loot. Based on that, we’re updating their schedules so each has a clear, focused window. We're going to open Cryo Archive this week on Thursday, March 26 at 10AM PT and close it on Sunday, March 29 at 10AM PT. The next window for Ranked will start on Sunday, March 29th at 10AM PT and will run for four days - until Thursday, April 2nd at 10AM PT. Here's a quick look at the weekly schedule going forward, so you can mark your calendars: 🐛 Ranked: Sunday 10 AM PT ➡️ Thursday 10 AM PT 🐛 Cryo Archive: Thursday 10 AM PT ➡️ Sunday 10 AM PT We know that no schedule is perfect, but we're here to listen and learn! Marathon has sold 1.2M copies so far. Although it has a dedicated fanbase, it wasn't a hit on the same level as ARC Raiders. Why do you think that is?

MARSH MADNESS UPDATE: MARATHON DUOS QUEUE - The experiment continues! Thank you to everyone who's been helping us test the duo queue. We've had a full week of testing on Perimeter with duos, collected a lot of notes and information, and have now decided to shift the queue to Dire Marsh to see how it plays out in those creepy damp backroads of Tau Ceti. This means, as of Wednesday 3/25 10 AM PT this week we will be disabling the experimental "Perimeter -- Duos" Queue and enabling the experimental "Dire Marsh -- Duos" Queue. What we're continuing to observe: - How combat engagements play out in duos. - Exfil rates, activity completion rates, etc. in duos. - Any technical issues that occur. - Any and all feedback around the mode. Details on the change are: - We will be shifting the zone for Duos starting Wednesday 3/25 at 10 AM PT. - At this time the "Perimeter -- Duos" Queue will be disabled and replaced by the "Dire Marsh -- Duos" Queue. - You will only be able to queue in "Dire Marsh -- Duos" with two players in a crew. - You will not be able to queue as a solo with crew fill into Dire Marsh -- Duos. - This test will continue for 1 week, with the caveat that we might take it down or extend it depending on what we see. Once again, thanks for helping us by providing play data and feedback on the duos experiment! We'll continue to update you on any changes we plan in the future as we learn more from what we see and hear!

@MarathonTheGame I've been having a great time playing this game! These 4 days during the work week in particular I don't get play games all that much. Very sad I won't be able to get on back on the ship after 30 years. Hopefully weekends only is only this weekend

@PorkPoncho I work customer service 40 hours a week. The last thing I want to hear is some random voice. All voices are annoying after dealing with ao many in a day

My Marathon hot take is that I was wrong about Duos and should've never asked for it. Played around 10 rounds and its just people hiding in corners, buildings or skulking around the edge of the map. That hits different in solos because in solos it feels inherent to that experience and plays out like a stealth game. But in duos that doesn't feel right and its not very engaging at least to me anyway, to be honest its mostly boring. Its easy loot though because most of the people in the mode are clearly scared to properly push engagements and would rather hide behind walls and rocks, so play a destroyer and go for maximum aggression to guarantee kills. But yeah @MarathonDevTeam and @Ziegler_Dev I don't think Duos is it. The pacing of PvP feels really off as a duo and overall I don't think it will benefit the game in general. Solos and Trios feels like a good set. Happy to be proven wrong in the long term though. I'm fully ready to be crucified int he comments though by people who don't like the idea of making friends in the game.

The general philosophy behind our upcoming ranked mode is to test you/your crew's skill at the core loop. To us, this is about making sure that the game is about maximizing the value of your run. With this spirit a lot of the rules are built around testing you to think about what you're ante-ing up, how you're using it to get more out than what you brought in. Additionally, we also want to make sure the outcome of pvp interactions and high value events in this mode can be lucrative against your ante, and provide you with the option to get even more out of the session if you take the risk to do them. In other words: in ranked you're gonna be rewarded for taking risks, but taking risks means you also put yourself in danger of losing something. The further you advance in ranks the more you can risk (and in some ways have to risk to advance) and the more you have to lose if your ambitions don't pan out. We're excited to get your eyes, ears, and hands on this feature. Good luck out there :).

@InocentDictator @Ziegler_Dev You get third partied is the issue, its just to risky to do the evenrs and burn your resouces only to get dropped. I know it can technically but there is a reason why most people just rat. I wish they just got rid of solos to force decent solos to play as teams.

Marathon's unique ranked system can be a lot to understand when you're new to it. We've prepared a resource to help you get used to figuring out score targets, loss penalties, and more.

@AgentSin_ @Ziegler_Dev I feel the same way. I'm not gonna be able to play it that much because it's only going to be... ...four days. And two of those days, I normally don't play games at all.

@Ziegler_Dev Joe I really don’t like ranked be limited to weekends like trials is. I think thats my only complaint with the mode prior to going hands on.
