@JamieScaddan @jdh68_jim @ronsterd89 Yikes. Defensiveness: zero to 100%…😬 Being able to smell the rain beforehand has been studied and scientists know how it works. Plenty of us have this “ability.” If it’s something you’re interested in, you could check it out.

@jdh68_jim @ronsterd89 Yeah I couldn't remember the word so I asked Grok. People like me can smell it before. Not a lot and like I said it's not studied much. Do you want phone umbers of friends and family that can vouch for me? Or are you happy calling me a liar?

Can people really "smell rain" before it actually starts raining? My Grannie would say “I smell rain coming” 🫣

@TheMidgetSmith @THEQUEENSANJUAN @MeliMels99 This represents almost all the veterans I know. And preserving peace and freedom through violence might be part of that solemn duty, but to be excited to go to war and excited to know you’ll kill people is pretty deranged. Necessary isn’t the same as being joyful about it.

@THEQUEENSANJUAN @MeliMels99 As a veteran, I disagree with this. A small percentage may be excited. But most of the military is made up of people who simply wanted their college paid for or are forced to join for lack of other options.

First and foremost, my condolences to Cody’s family and friends. He was 35 years old. He was a central Floridian like me. I must ask. This man was in the Army Reserves. Why was he there? The other 3 departed souls were also reservists. I am honestly asking.

Yes, a similar incident occurred in St. Paul on Jan 18, 2026. ICE detained elderly U.S. citizen ChongLy Thao at gunpoint without a warrant, in shorts and Crocs in freezing weather, due to mistaken identity while targeting two sex offenders at his address. He was driven around for ~1 hour then released. DHS called it standard safety protocol; no explicit admission of mistake, but critics labeled it reckless. Sources: FOX9, CBS, ABC.

@Angry_Staffer Great job ICE! I really doubt they would do that. You are just a 🤪 guy that listens to everything that So called Gov. Tampon Tim. & that loser Mayor Frey, Fried 🧠cells due to TDS! You Libs need to get it together before you all end up in jail. Oh, on 2nd thought, keep it 👍. 😂

@masktards2020 @StateDept I didn't want to vote for Harris, but I did because I saw Trump for what he is. Groceries, healthcare & housing have gotten way worse because of direct actions by Trump, meanwhile he's attacking Venezuela & Denmark because they gave the Peace Prize to a Venezuelan instead of him.

Five years ago, Trump launched an assault on our Capitol, watched it on a screen like the Venezuela operation, and egged on his forces as they hunted our VP. Maduro’s regime isn’t the first government he tried to topple in our hemisphere. It’s the second. thebulwark.com/p/which-countr…

@KateHenry31989 @baryonic @BulwarkOnline They aren’t my excuses. They’re the reasons the POTUS is hijacking a sovereign country and if you don’t even understand the basic history and motivation of what the US is doing, what are you even doing here? Maybe go read up so you’ll be useful to the resistance.

@LucaBrasi_back @KatieMiller I think far more than that believe Maduro is a dictator who stole his election, but Dems aren’t responsible for the Republicans who abdicated their constitution-granted war powers. They’re all allowing the executive branch to run wild against the designs of the founding fathers.

@TessTes13 @KayeSteinsapir @AdamKinzinger Yes. I did. And I think what Obama did in Libya was illegal and unconstitutional too. Presidents keep getting away with it because congress rolls over for the executive branch and cedes its power to them, not because it’s constitutional to do this stuff.

Maduro was never the legitimate president of Venezuela. The precision action by Delta to get Maduro without massive military occupation is a how it should be done. This was the right call. May Maduro face justice and the people of Venezuela be free

@LucaBrasi_back @KatieMiller Republicans thought that was a bad idea and unconstitutional at the time. I agreed then and I agree now. Both presidents could count on congress to roll over for expedient political gain instead of seriously challenging the constitutionality like they’re supposed to.

Men, how does being approached by a woman make you feel? How does this change the power dynamic for you? Honestly, I can see her take as often being the case. But I can also see many men really liking it when women approach them.

@allicovington @LizzyStarrrdust This was experience too, but I was only single for about six months in my adult life and the few times I tried in that period failed, but I’m thinking it was actually a skill issue for me, not some biological rule.

@HaytGhola @LizzyStarrrdust This is such a weird assumption. So a woman is interested/attracted to you enough to approach you, but she should instead stick with the random grab bag of men, many of whom she likely isnt interested in, who approach her even though she wants the guy over there instead? So weird

@LizzyStarrrdust Honestly I've been approached and it's not that at all for me. If anything, it just raises a red flag. Why does an attractive girl need to approach? Doesn't she get approached herself by more than enough guys? Or am I a mark?

Nice men appreciate being approached, douchebags do not. She is probably going for the douchbags (like most women do) instead of nice guys. Why? Because nice guys often confuse meekness and niceness, and are often meek and unattractive to women who want real men; thusly, women confuse douchebaggery for strength and manhood, and as douchebags are never meek they often fool women into thinking they are men, while nice guys scratch their heads meekly alone (or are happily married.)

@MaMoMVPY @delcyrodriguezv You say it’s been ignored, but the very first story on Apple News as soon as I woke up implied that she was involved by listing facts of her background, like strong ties to foreign business & being the main contact person with the US. It wasn’t hard to read between the lines.

This is completely unreported. It is an internal coup. I believe it will very soon become clear that Maduro's vice president Delcy Rodríguez (@delcyrodriguezv) has made a deal with the Americans. That's why it was possible for the Americans to capture Maduro so easily - Delcy Rodríguez simply betrayed him and made a backroom deal with the Americans that she becomes the new president. Trump mentioned it explicitly at the press conference just held, but none of the journalists caught it. This means the regime still holds power—and yes, this may also be the deal Trump has made with Putin. It is NOT regime change. And there is no democracy. Maduro is out, but the regime remains. And Delcy Rodríguez's payment: Venezuela's oil goes to Trump and perhaps Putin. The leader of Venezuela's democratic opposition, María Corina Machado @MariaCorinaYA, can forget about returning to Venezuela—and forget about democracy. It honestly feels rather Vichy-like.

Seriously thank you for saying that you usually follow the idiots to the dumbest possible answer. But there is no scenario where this was a bad outcome or execution of a plan. The most likely outcome is the government in exile lead by the Nobel peace prize winner who extremely popular and has been laying the ground work for a transition for several months will take control pretty quickly. Worst case you get another dictator with no funding to pay for soldiers and we drone him and his people. We're not going to war this isn't the middle east. Venezuelans where weeping on the streets thanking Trump for their freedom. If they were seriously worried about another dictator they wouldn't be openly celebrating. These aren't Muslim fundamentalist. They are criminals who's loyalty is paid for and without money theres no loyalty
