It is with deep sorrow that we announce the demise of Dr Elijah Achoch which occurred today at 12.00 pm at the Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu. Dr Achoch was until his death, the Chairman of Siaya County Public Service Board. Achoch was a distinguished public servant who contributed immensely to the transformation of the Siaya Board initiating critical reforms aimed at professionalizing service delivery in the county. Prior to joining the Board Achoch served as the Chief Executive Officer of National Police Service Commission and Director of transformative civil service in the Office of the Prime Minister Rt Hon Raila Odinga. On behalf of County Government Staff and the people of Siaya, I send my heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and relatives of the late Achoch. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
