@furiouswhopper @McFranchisee @McDonalds Since theres like 4 of these per store and, in my experience, they are out of order with reasonable frequency, the certifier very quickly becomes a rounding error in the service cost

@furiouswhopper @McFranchisee @McDonalds If the qualified technician makes $50 an hour and it takes him an extra 15 minutes to certify the cables and enter the extra data in his report (and there will always be some reporting), it takes less than 50 installs/repairs/service calls for the labor to pass the tool cost

I was talking to an installer who was putting up a new digital menu board at a @McDonalds. He commented how we over-engineer everything, he does installs across the entire food and beverage industry. McDonald's is the only brand that requires cable certification. Despite Cat5 cabling being quite easy, the tech has to use a $16,000 machine, test the cables, and then input the results into a database… for every cable.

@JR_Writer79 @shadydoorags They weren't that busy overnight shifts so the 12s were great for a graduate student who studied after all the overnight jobs were done while minding the store

@JR_Writer79 @shadydoorags For a time I managed a 24 hour location at a previous employer. They wanted to keep one 24 hour location per market even though it was slow M-Thu we had one person work 10 hr overnights (10-8am). Fri-Sun, the other overnight worked 3 12s (9-9).

10 hours, easy. My previous warehouse job started me at four 10-hour shifts with an optional fifth 8-hour shift and sixth 4-hour shift if we got too busy. Let me tell you, assuming you don't have other responsibilities, a guaranteed three-day weekend is 100% worth the loss of some afternoon hours, you feel so much more relaxed when your free time is clumped together. I used the extra day to work on YouTube videos. Eventually, that job made the fifth shift mandatory and due to Covid, the company became overrun with work, so we pretty much lost our extra free day. After over a year of that, I threated to walk if I couldn't go back to 40 hours or less, which my manager obliged.

@Blind__Luck @craigonbitcoin Just use the auto rejection settings. I always set that to the lowest number I'd be happy to sell the item for For smaller listings I often set the same auto accept: eg if the lowest I'm glad to go is 40 on the 49.95, I set auto reject below 40 and auto accept 40+

@JonGiuliani10 @bens0xred The union would cancel like multiple whole seasons before they agree to a cap, and it never comes to that because CBA negotiations require 80% majorities in the ownership conference and there's just enough big market owners to make that unviable.

Tell me, without all the markets and teams involved, do the big market teams have a product that is valuable? They would get a fraction of the TV money they get today if not for the full product. All that said - yes, some teams even though they are small market, still have sucked at evaluating talent and promoting their product.

@RealKylerPost @DALLASBRADEN209 And if the umpire doesn't agree and call the play dead, then Dean is conceding both runs by not playing the ball. This is the risk you take; you better be correct (he was).

@RealKylerPost @DALLASBRADEN209 This is not how the lodged ball rule works - if Dean touches the baseball or attempts to remove it, he concedes any possibility of a lodged ball being called and the play remains live. He *has* to do what he did for the call to be possible.

Let’s play a game & pretend that EVERYONE on Twitter understands rule 5.05 (a) (7) regarding a lodged ball. On the left you have a ball settled between the ground & the wall. As you can tell by the impression on the wall from the force of the ball it is indeed LODGED between the wall & the ground. On the right you have a ball freely sitting on the ground unimpeded by a wall or the ground or a combination of either. Remember- you know the rule & you know if you attempt to pull that ball out before you throw your hands up that ball will remain live & the runners are free to advance. So with the game on the line in the biggest moment of your teams season & your career do YOU make the HEADS UP, SMART, HIGH BASEBALL IQ play or do you pull that ball out…….Cuz, ya know, you know the rule and all.

@thebigblundetto @DALLASBRADEN209 Look at the crinkle in the padding - the ball is lodged in the corner between the pads, which is why it abruptly stopped and didn't bounce or roll away. This is a lodged ball by definition.

@DALLASBRADEN209 I was on your side, but now that I see the rule, not sure this was applicable. The ball is positioned between the ground and the bottom of the fence. That doesn’t mean it is stuck in the fence. The rule literally doesn’t apply as written.

@fokust_official @ckossnumbers @VictorRojas @DALLASBRADEN209 The umpire *did * call the ball lodged, he does not have to visit it and inspect it from 5 feet away to determine it is lodged. The 2nd base umpire raises both hands and calls the play dead as soon as Dean does so, because he agrees the ball is lodged.

@ckossnumbers @VictorRojas @DALLASBRADEN209 You’re missing “in the judgement of the umpire”…there was no umpire to come out and look at the ball. After hands were thrown up, the outfielder effortlessly picked the ball up and threw it in. There was no umpire review of the ball.

@Joeneto @DALLASBRADEN209 @STU_GATZZO That is not how the rule works. If he *touches* the ball or *attempts* to remove it, the ball is live and no lodged ball call can be made. The only way that the ball can be called lodged is to do what he did.

@DALLASBRADEN209 @STU_GATZZO The point dude is making, as a player Dodger should make a fukn effort to pick up the ball and umps will see it was difficult or wedged. He did not and threw his hands up. Then all of a sudden cameras turn and he is throwing the ball in. "Play until the whistle"

@DALLASBRADEN209 @STU_GATZZO Understand the rule … but if your first reaction is to stop playing the ball and put your hands up … you are not a ball player … 🤷🏼‍♂️

@BravesDiscGolf @mkim521 @DALLASBRADEN209 If the ball does not become lodged, it is not an inside the park home run because the ball rebounds to the fielder. Because it lodges, this doesn't happen. And because the ball remains live if the umpire does agree the ball is lodged, it is a big risk to be wrong.

@BravesDiscGolf @mkim521 @DALLASBRADEN209 It is not a question of manipulation, its a question of the player being smart enough and knowing the rule well enough in the moment to understand that any ball that comes to an abrupt stop due to a wall or piece of field equipment (tarp, etc) is lodged and must be signalled.

@KyleCastorena @Death_sunsatia @SharrellAnne2 @Angry_Staffer I hope this helps; the felony upgrade was not 'because a judge felt like it' but because the statute upgrades the crime to a felony when it's done to facilitate/conceal another crime (the other crime in this case is clear-cut: Michael Cohen was convicted of committing it)
