Intrigued with the possibility of fast tracked renewable energy. Proud Victorian. Oh, and lover of MS teams room systems. 😉

@GreenTyler27 Everyone will go electric and won’t be an issue. This will free up capacity for the many people who continue to need diesel. On a side note, congrats on your campaign. I have enjoyed following you.

Yes. Even serious farm equipment can be electrified. Of only we had more foresight and encouraged the electrification of heavy machinery.

@MickamiousG @AllBiteNoBark88 I have not bothered reading the article. But surely being part of a party is that you move as one cohesive unit. If you have different “opinions” then maybe be an independent.

Sadly @AllBiteNoBark88 was declared ‘Not A Suitable Candidate’ to run in the Upcoming Lower House Election in Victoria by a Minot Party due to her ‘opinions’ or being to ‘reactive’ Nicola doesn’t name the political party, however I have it upon good authority that the party in question was @LibertariansVic (Libertarian Party Victorian State Branch). Safe to say this is incredibly disappointing but it’s becoming evidently clear that the Victorian Branch is heavily Left Leaning compared to the Federal Executive (@LibertariansAus) or the @LibertariansNSW branch. The fact that the Victorian branch wouldn’t select someone because of ‘opinions’ is of worrying concern being that Libertarians are the ultimate believers in Freedom of Speech. I have it on good authority that @JohnRuddick2 and @Cribbertarian are NOT supporters of the decision made by @LibertariansVic and are more than open to shouting her a lunch at NSW Parliament next time @AllBiteNoBark88 is in the state (NSW). There is much going wrong within the @LibertariansVic State branch that needs some seriously cleaning up and rethink which I hope they rectify in the near future.

@mattjcan 100%. We have enough wind and solar to sort ourselves out. With your help, QLD could be a major driver in pushing the energy transition. Now is the time for yo to make QLD an energy powerhouse.

@Jeff83839142944 @Banana_KushOG @FranMooMoo That is a great point Jeff. Someone should really think of the idea of putting a battery in them so that they can charge by day and drive at night. 🙄

@mesoepi @Peter_Fitz @IEA Yo are 75% right. Germany, Italy, Australia, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia don’t have any or plan to build any. All, no one is “aggressively” building them. The build rate has flatlined for years. To build one here would take 20 years.

" whole investment community" ? I prefer to listen to power engineering experts & not shills getting fat on Renewable Energy Certificates & assorted subsidies for power that only delivers 30% of the time The paramount global authority on energy, the @IEA , say #NetZero is impossible without nuclear We are the only G20 member without a nuclear fleet or aggressive rollout programs of nukes We are seen by the rest of the energy world as hicks & hillbillies with our hoped for total reliance on a future based on VREs #auspol #auspol26 #auspol2026

Andrew, if you were correct, why would over 90 per cent of all investment in new energy systems last year be in renewables. You think the whole investment community has it wrong, and you and Barnaby have it right?

@TheSolarShed @johnstretch And one the seventh day god invented batteries and/pumped hydro and the problem was solved. I’m sure that the 1950s was a good time for you but the work has moved on dude.

@johnstretch solar can only produce when daylight and wind can only produce when er, windy. Oh, are you of those who think solar and wind can do all the energy all the time? I hope not as I have news for you

@ibaird @Peter_Fitz @DeanChill 100%. The market isn’t asking for it as it is not worth the capital risk. Nuclear power is almost always a government funded and owned build with only a few rare exceptions globally. So unless the LNP is going to stump up $100-$600 Billion over 20 years it is a waste of time

@DeanChill Your move, Deano. Does it strike you as a problem, or not, that you can't ramp nuclear up or down, as is required in an integrated energy system. I suggest that "WHOOSH" you just heard, was the world passing you by. #Auspol
ted sowden - woke as!! 💧🌾🔥🚒🧸 💉💉💉🌈💡@sowdented

@DeanChill @Peter_Fitz so you have no understanding of hicc??? none!!! why is the 'market' not asking for the ban on nuclear?? do you know nuclear and solar doesn't mix?? you can't ramp up or down nuclear, so what do you do during the day when you have lots of solar??

@TomPlayford3 That is generation for Vic live. So SAs 410MW comes out of that. It is why it is called an “energy transition”. 😊. We need more wind. Unfortunately getting approvals for wind farms (even in the middle of the ocean) is a F’ing nightmare.

@Kleva_Clogs That figure doesn't include the coal-fired power being exported to SA. In reality Victoria AND South Australia would both be blacked out if it wasn't for Gippsland's dirty brown electrons keeping the lights on. And no - more wind turbines will not change that situation.

South Australia - renewable energy powerhouse of the nation - needs to import 470 Mw/h of electricity tonight from the dirty brown coal plants of the Latrobe Valley 1,000km away to keep the lights on. Renewable energy is unreliable, expensive and needs coal to back it up 24/7.

@AusPoll6 Agree or disagree, Greens (and too a lesser extent, Labor) are talking about issues facing young people on their own terms. I don't think Greens or Labor are capable of fixing these issues, but they're at least talking about it
