Today the fatigue really hit. It’s been hard to sleep. Monday was a huge strain on body and mind - Trying to calm him down and provide comfort plus all the interactions and activities to get his hospice lined up. Tuesday morning I found him cold and gone and had to have more 1/5

@LarkinWarren Remember all the “on the spot” breaking news? It was very different… I knew about things days before people that weren’t on the app. Now maybe only a few hours - and have to wade through so much RW propaganda to get there 🤦🏻‍♂️

That HERE, of all places! It’s been so helpful to vent here and hear so many similar experiences and stories, even great guidance. My fiancee has been MY ROCK and I’m SO BLESSED to have her by my side through this!! Words can’t express… THE LOVE. Time for more rest for now. 5/5

@MarkMantis There’s yet another reason to connect w/hospice earlier, not later: It gives the hospice team time to get to know all fam members & provide appropriate support. It’s not about dying, but about living the best life possible during the time you have—per my mom, a hospice nurse. ❤️

Update: called quite a few people, giving thanks or criticism where deserved, notifications, making appts etc… Washed the Camaro just to do something physical / plus it badly needed it. Melted rubber all over still from last track event… Did my laundry, washed the dishes. Gonna wash up, pick up Chinese and head to the fiancée’s place around 8. Honoring the process but I got to keep achieving… fall down once, get up twice, as dad said all the time.

I did it. Got out of bed and started the chores. I did feed the dog - but she needs her meds and a vet appt. That’s next. Got a pizza on the way - making some coffee. Time to get to work! 😬 💪 😮‍💨 🫶🏼

Been thinking as a Christian guy: churches push vulnerability & openness as discipleship essentials (bearing burdens, confessing sins—which is good). But we also need self-control, restraint, & discernment. The tilt toward one way of relating feels unbalanced—almost like favouring a more 'feminine' style—and it shortchanges men & holistic maturity. Men are even chastised by some for not being open enough, despite the real reasons men have for restraint. Scripture holds both in tension. Thoughts?

🚨 UNITED DESTROYED THIS MAN’S 1962 GIBSON GUITAR — THEN SAID “NOT COVERED” AND WALKED AWAY He picks his case up from baggage claim and opens it. His 1962 Gibson J-45, a vintage guitar worth thousands, is completely wrecked. Cracked body. Scraped finish. The kind of damage you only get from being thrown around. He says it was inside a “nearly indestructible” top of the line Calton hardshell case. So he calls United. Their response? “We don’t cover instruments.” No compensation. No accountability. Nothing. Now this video is blowing up again as new clips show baggage handlers literally throwing guitar cases. So this isn’t a one-off. It’s the same damage and the same excuse. If they can just say “not covered”… what’s actually stopping this from happening every day? If this was YOUR guitar… what would you do?
