@thecritcomp @a_c__01001101 @CanadianPolling Whether you think it's a good or bad thing, you *are* acknowledging the truth in the initial poll listed.

@a_c__01001101 @CanadianPolling Wtf are you talking about? That’s not how political movements work.
“Oh we tried once and didn’t quite get there? Welp better give up forever.” 😂

@tmanhuge @GigglingGanon Unfortunately, yes. This happens all the time, which fucking sucks. Cops have to follow the law to convict someone, and if the initial reason for the stop was unlawful, the perpetrator may get away with it.
English

@Mathgeek007 @GigglingGanon So in the event that the stop was illegal, the dead kidnapped child that’s laying unhidden in the backseat is going to be non-admissible, right?
English

Very Crafty defense attorney pulls a slick technicality that impressed the judge.
The defense is arguing that a traffic stop outside an officer’s jurisdiction is inherently unlawful under Texas Code of Criminal Procedure 14.03(d). The logic? If the officer doesn't have the authority, the stop shouldn't exist. All the other charges hinge on it the original stop was legal or not.
Judge Fleischer calls it "crafty," but he’s not sold yet—he’s testing the defense by posing hypothetical scenarios to see if their argument holds up against serious public safety concerns.
This is what legal nuance looks like in real-time. Do you think the jurisdiction argument stands, or does the judge have a point about the limits of that logic? It's an interesting conversation point in my opinion.

@allie__voss @lucentile I will gladly face tank a thousand Perfect Pussy posts to solve endometriosis
English

@tmanhuge @GigglingGanon If they had probable cause to pull over the person *for* a kidnapping charge, then that's fine. Not under illegal pretenses.
Fruit from a poisoned tree!
English

@GigglingGanon Rare logic by the judge.
Switch the gun with a kidnapped child.
Per the code, an out of jurisdiction cop can’t perform a traffic stop, making this an illegal stop. No PC on the stop would prevent him being charged with kidnapping?
The lawyer switched it after.

Just got made aware I missed an item in Pokopia. Actually had the image all done I just erased its database entry by mistake
Every single app and site I just checked for it is missing it.
Unbelievable.
Joe Merrick@JoeMerrick
Like, a large part of what caused me to burn out after Pokopia & Champions wasn't due to the sheer volume of content covered so quickly (though that didn't help), it was my enthusiasm to continue getting sapped by the large amount of sites and apps that just scraped Serebii.
English

@DoubleDiggur @JoeMerrick Lots of websites continuously scrape, unfortunately.
I've been trying to get in the habit of convincing these app owners to directly credit Serebii, and fortunately most of them do now! But Serebii is really the one leading the charge in terms of data.
English

@JoeMerrick Next time add a few fake items quietly and then delete them after they scrape your website. They probably aren't paying any attention
