This “timing up” has to be controlled by the umpires better though. It’s not as helpful as it looks- can do the same thing with your eyes just watching. Nervous eyewash - get back in the dugout. Umps fault.

@JacobBSpeaks @JomboyMedia He caught the ball behind the plate , secured it then his right foot stepped in front of the plate. His left knee was behind the plate before the step as well. Horrible call.

Makes sense to me. It wasn’t a step off, so the throw functioned as a normal pitch. Catcher moved over the plane of home plate, effectively interfering with the batters ability to swing (he would’ve been hit with the bat if the batter did swing). You don’t have to agree with it, but it’s by the book rules-wise.

Strange rule came into play during the LSU vs. South Carolina SEC Tournament game Umpires determined that the catcher stepped on or in front of home plate before receiving the ball. It was ruled a balk and a catcher's interference. So the run scored and the batter was awarded first base. Play is not reviewable

There people who think they are reinventing MLB. I played with the best, Benito, Tony Pena Pudge. they did splits and gunned down guys at 2nd base from their knees. But when a guy is on third top priority is keeping the ball in front.

Why are these High School flame throwers careers over already? Archie is only 31 and Noah and Dylan are not yet 31. I saw all 3 in HS and never would have predicted they wouldn’t have more success or be basically done by 31 years old. #shegone @MLB @AMBS_Kernan @KMcGovernPT

I wasn’t a “Power hitter” I only hit 16 HR’s in the @MLB but every one I hit was off a Major League pitcher. Seems every day I see another HR hit of a position player and it is embarrassing for the integrity of our National Pastime. #shegone @notgaetti @BobFile @twuench @billdubs

How many people can be late and hit the bottom 1/3 of the ball at a 39 degree launch angle and hit a HR? I’d guess maybe 10 on the planet if that. The #hlp swing will ruin a lot more people than it helps I guarantee you that. Ask Scott Kingery. #shegone @twuench @Phillies
