@overton_news Real love isn’t tested when life goes our way. It’s tested when life is hard, when people disagree, and when others think differently. Do we love God, family, and friends only when they favor us, agree with us, or think like us? If so, that isn’t love. It’s abuse.

Scott Jennings just humiliated Robert De Niro for saying he can’t love a country led by “tyrant” Trump. Jennings pointed out that only loving your country when your team wins the last election is becoming the majority ethos among Democrats. JENNINGS: “I think you have to love your country whether or not you lost the last election.” “I love America and, you know, according to some polling that came out this week, and most Republicans love America, 90% are very proud to be Americans.” “They’re proud of living in this country.” “Unfortunately, I think Mr. De Niro’s comments are pretty indicative of a majority of Democrats who can’t seem to find that attitude...inside them.” “To love your country, even though you lost the last election.” “And, you know, loving America, being a patriot for America, feeling good about America shouldn’t be dictated by whether you won or lost.” “When I hear De Niro, I hear him saying, I can only love America if we win every election from here on out.” “That’s a rather fascist statement.”

@washghost1 That's likely $250+ in food costs. By the time she gets the food, preps, and cooks, she'll likely have put in 20 hours of hard work. She isn't getting rich at $32.50 an hour, so it's reasonable.

$500/mo gym membership < $500/mo home gym. For $60k (10-year gym membership), I’d buy: - Rower - Ski erg - Lighting - Treadmill - Cold Plunge - Assault bike - Reverse hyper - Sound system - Traditional Sauna - Adjustable bench - Belt squat machine -Leg press machine - Hip thrust machine - Hack squat machine - Seated row machine - Lat pulldown machine - Leg extension/curl machine - GHD / glute ham developer - Mini split for climate control - Flooring (rolled rubber flooring) - Functional trainer / cable machine - Wall-mounted storage / plate trees - Power rack with all the attachments - Chest press/shoulder press machine - Commercial-grade barbell + full plate set - Adjustable dumbbells + full dumbbell rack And you'd still have LOTS of money left over
John Davis, CSCS, Pn1, OPEX@Mr_davisj

The average cost of a membership to a higher-end gym in Austin Texas is between $350-500/month. Like I’ve been saying for YEARS, people will spend money on training and what they feel is value. That’s $4200-6000 per year on just a membership

This is the woman who started the trend of having Black people call Chinese restaurants to place orders and never pick them up in retaliation to Rick Chow being acquitted. She works for Hewlett-Packard. Do you think we should call Hewlett Packard, and ask them how they feel?
Right Angle News Network@Rightanglenews

The black woman who started the targeted campaign against Chinese restaurants in retaliation for Rick Chow being found not guilty has been identified as Alexandria Evans, who works for Hewlett Packard. Call and ask if racially targeting people follows their code of conduct.

@SamaHoole I'm 64, when I do 5-6-rep sets to failure, my strength does improve. However, my high-rep sets to failure give greater pump, more muscle soreness, and sustained muscle growth. My low rep sets give me little pump, little soreness, and increased joint pain.

Time under tension is a red herring. If TUT mattered, planks would build massive abs. They don't. Because there's no progressive overload of mechanical tension. The plank gets longer. The abs don't. A 5-rep set takes around 15 seconds. A 15-rep set takes around 45 seconds. Both can produce the same hypertrophy if both are taken close enough to failure. The growth doesn't come from the duration. It comes from the mechanical tension in the hard reps. The ones at the end of the set where the bar is barely moving and the muscle is recruiting every available fibre to finish the rep. You can hold a light weight for 60 seconds and get nothing. You can lift a heavy weight for 15 seconds and grow. Time doesn't build muscle. Tension does. Stop counting seconds. Start counting how close you got to failure.

How to follow @tferriss' Slow-Carb Diet for fat loss and muscle gain: – Don't drink calories. Black coffee and unsweetened tea are fine. Everything else with calories is out. – Don't eat anything white or that could be white. This eliminates most starches including bread, rice, pasta, and oatmeal. – Eat 30 grams of protein within 30 minutes of waking up. This is a non-negotiable anchor for the diet. – Build every meal from three categories only: vegetables, beans and lentils, and a quality protein source. No fruit or fructose during the week. – Take one full cheat day per week. Anything goes. This serves as a release valve that makes the other six days sustainable. – No calorie counting needed. High fiber and high protein intake naturally limits how much you want to eat. @tferriss on @hubermanlab

@PaceJordanMorby Selling dreams (MLMs, no-money-down, house flipping, day trading, crypto mining, FBA, etc.) is always easier and more profitable than using the method being promoted. If you struck gold, would you tell everyone where it is and how to get it?

There are 14,000 RV parks in the USA. You only need ONE. I own four today. Soon to be 8. Average makes $15,000 a month in your pocket. After all expenses. Net net net! You can do it too… here’s how. FIRST: How to finance them??? No one cool is using banks anymore. That’s soooo 2022. We use seller financing and Subto to buy these. This means the sellers let us make them payments monthly to take over their business. SECOND: Where do I find them? Crexi.com is dope for finding them. Landwatch.com is great too. CreativeListing.com is my favorite. THIRD: You’ll need to get someone to manage them. NOT!!! They already have people living in them that manage themselves for you!!! Click the link below if you want a live walkthrough of my most recent purchase. subto.sjv.io/Jk2zPN

I appreciate your posts Dean! FYI, this product contains highly processed, engineered carbohydrates, ie, food starches. These starches look good on paper for low carb, but they convert to sugar, which can spike glucose/insulin. They do for me. Insulin is the fat storage hormone.

Yooo Coop, our government is still an objection. We should all be pushing for the PHIT Act, Personal Health Investment Today. Preventative health should be incentivized, not ignored. Americans can use HSA/FSA dollars for disease treatment, but not for fitness equipment or gym memberships to stay healthy. That makes no sense. This act is currently sitting in Congress, awaiting further action, and everyone should be vocal about it. Imagine the boom in home gym equipment innovation and sales if the equipment were tax-deductible.

With the amount of innovation in home gym equipment over the past decade, nearly every objection has been solved. One, in particular, is the space required for a gym. These are custom made fold-out gyms from a company in England called FlouFitness.

This guy used a car jack to lift an entire sidewalk and injected polyurethane underneath to stabilize and level it. This type of job can cost all the way up to $25 a square foot. But….. hear me out here, what if we just kept the jack in the ground and buried the $50-$100 jack right where it’s at? Wouldn’t that save a ton of money? Could it work? Would it work?

I’m often asked about the pegboard scene in VISION QUEST. That was all me. No stunt doubles or safety measures. I trained for a long time and had to climb it several times to get all the angles. The “trick” is not to over extend, so you’d be pulling up your entire body weight. You have to keep it compact. Arms and elbows tight. 💪🏽 You can support the @FMJDiary project by bidding on a signed VQ poster here: ebay.com/itm/2062521319…

The cops got called on these guys for getting hyped in their home gym. People criticize home gyms because you "have" to work out alone. My response is always the same: "Invite your friends to come lift, and the energy will be better than you've had at the gym." Exhibit A:
