I have spent the weekend reading, listening and watching every interview with @pmarca that I can. This episode for me is 10 years in the waiting. It has to be amazing. The best. What questions has Marc never been asked that you would like him to be asked? Lets make this one truly great.

This scene from Dune perfectly describes what it's like to run a startup. “The test is simple, remove the hand from the box and you die." "What's in the box?" "Pain.”

@lkr @jessethanley We didn't until recently. I had Claude code implement an mcp in about a day and it is seeing some decent adoption. I even was on a call with a customer yesterday who was super bullish on the mcp workflow and making that his main way to interface with our product.

I try to avoid being a doomer, but I do feel immense pressure to have my product conform to the new way of working in a way I haven’t felt before. Organic traffic is no longer a distribution strategy, customers don’t want to login anymore, you need to have a CLI/MCP or customers will go elsewhere, our AI features need to be updated weekly and one-shot the most random requests… Your company is at risk if you don’t move fast enough. I’m embracing it but I understand why people are anxious. It’s never ending.

What is everyone using for their data stack? We’re considering making a move and most in need of a better ETL solution

Testing the SignWell MCP: create document, add fields, send for e-sign all in one shot! Very cool.

@jasonlk @HarryStebbings I'm a hardcore nvim + terminal only programmer but from experience I can tell you that the vast majority of software engineers simply use IDEs and interact with the terminal as little as possible. Especially in big traditional enterprises built on languages like .net and Java

@HarryStebbings I’d like to know too At board meetings for my two fastest growing start-ups, at both only a handful still use Cursor. The folks that “still want an IDE.” But only a handful. But perhaps these aren’t the most representative customers. The Fortnight Effect at least there

@Tudi_rad @dtcprophet Check out ThoughtMetric, we are one of the main TW alternatives. Our pricing is much more fair and we have "sonar" and new/returning customer metrics.

@dtcprophet Only thing I can't replicate is Sonar and the new visitor % metrics. Im paying 800 per month, it's a bit ridiculous tbh.

Has anyone built the Judgeme version of Triple Whale yet? We pay over $1K/mo for triple whale (10-20x a claude subscription), it should really be ~$25-50/month. Only features we need: - Daily PnL dashboard + all Shopify analytics - Integrate ad and sales channels - Integrate subscription data - Slack/email reports - LTV charts That's it, don't need any of the AI or agent stuff, that's all done inside of Claude. Just be a nice looking API wrapper for shopify data and ad channel data and price yourself appropriately. Hopefully a cracked software builder in ecom can do this, there are thousands of stores waiting to churn legacy expensive saas and sign up.

@philkyprianou Inspired by people like @karri_tweets ThoughtMetric has extremely fair pricing and we haven't raised prices in over 3 years. Give us a look if you need marketing attribution.

Just received an email from a well-known tracking SaaS saying they’re increasing their pricing. At this point, I’ll just vibe-code the app myself and run it for $20 per month instead of paying $200. SaaS keep raising prices without adding more value. With everything happening right now, it just doesn’t make sense.

Why are zero women in the top 10 chess players ever? Why are ~95% of inventors, founders, and Nobel Prize winners men? Why are ~90% of prisoners and ~75% of homeless men? Same reason: men have greater variability in everything - IQ, aggression, risk appetite, ambition, trust, occupational interest, etc. Chart: @DavidMaywald

@ProfBrianCox @ChrisFTID Because you need to have enough doublings in size during inflation to solve the horizon problem and the flatness problem. If I'm understanding @WKCosmo 's book on inflation correctly.

NON-DEV COOL STUFF YOU CAN DO WITH CLAUDE CODE (Yes, you could do this with cowork too!) Download a bunch of tax forms/financial statements with inscrutable names Ask claude code to look through your downloads folder, read the PDFs and rename them all appropriately. Stick them in your tax filing system. Boom.

champagne problem - but the biggest difference I've noticed in the last few weeks: - running 5+ parallel agents is the only way I work now - the mental fatigue from context switching is real but quality output is absolutely off the charts..
