@Storytimedad83 @justin_hart I wonder if every 8-18 year old whi Wade anointed the groin of with oil has a case against him. How can you be sure what he was doing in the temple with his fingers under that shield…

@BrettBreakerZ @Preachurr @OchoZaco But we can prove Joe sealed other men’s wives, and definitely had to ‘raise a seed unto God’ as the angel threatened him with a flaming sword. He was later destroyed for disobedience, and that of Emma’s. Shame she tried to poison him for God’s command. Maybe next restoration…

That argument is so fucking retarded really doesn't even deserve an answer because you're just quoting Frank Turek. It's not the existence of plates themselves it's what they are in the manner of how Joseph Smith obtained them. You can't prove you lied about not having sex with other people's wives. That's a baseless claim and you're dumb for even bringing it up. The Book of Abraham has already been explained numerous times including the facsimiles.

Did you know: Joseph Smith didn’t actually use the Golden Plates to translate “Reformed Egyptian” (a language he made up)? Yep, he put his rock in his hat and words showed up. The LDS church has been open about that recently, good for them. That’s the same rock he used to find “buried treasure” on people’s land. He tried dozens of times and it never happened - but he definitely got sued by people to which he promised results and didn’t perform. It’s all documented. But sure, after all of that he definitely found Golden Plates and translated them with his rock. You can’t see them because God took them back up to heaven. The manuscript we actually have turned out to be the Book of Abraham and he was laughably wrong on that translation. Scholars know how to read Egyptian now.

@BrettBreakerZ @OchoZaco Did any witness the addition of Genesis 50:30? That’s a nice one. God saved the restoration of a prophecy from Genesis about Joe for Joe to reveal about himself. To bad it didn’t mention he would be destroyed for not raising a seed unto God like the angel stalking him commanded.

19 witnesses of the Gold Plates btw. None of them denied seeing them even those who disassociated with Joseph Smith and even took their testimonies of the gold plates to the grave. • First hand primary sources and eye witnesses who were actually there saw the scroll and tell us that Joseph was translating something. • Shineha (The elliptical of the Sun) proven by egyptologists yet Joseph Smith knew about it before them and used in Abraham's day. • It reads authentic and ancient. • There's cool historical matches. • The plains of Oleshem. • Years after Joseph Smith translated the Book of Abraham, we find a couple texts talking about Olysum and Olyshem...O's and U's switch in Semitic language. A perfect linguistic match. • Shineha and Olyshem...terms and things he couldn't have possibly known and Joseph Smith got them spot on. • The matches in the facsimiles. Joseph Smith stated what we what call canopic jars (facsimile 1) represented the Canaanite gods. All 4 later on or discovered to be in fact the Canaanite gods. • Jesus himself refers to prophecies in the Book of Abraham... 'The Book of Breathings' • There's two important things. There's a translation of a text. • The other is interpreting what drawings mean. • The facsimiles are not the papyrus that Joseph used to translate the book of Abraham. The facsimiles are not what he used to "come up with" The Book of Abraham. We unfortunately don't know everything about it because before Joseph Smith could tell us, he was persecuted and murdered in cold blood. So you can thank your Protestants and Calvinists for that.

@Mericamemed Or at least pointless drivel about how much time and effort you’ve spent learning the fine art of pressure washing different surfaces.

@Mericamemed It’s because no one respects him. No one wants to know the thoughts of the pressure washer cleaner. That’s why it’s the profession voted most likely to start ASMR channels. No talking, just cleaning.

@Idizwutidiz @BenjaminHawth17 @maklelan If you believe Dan, you just stop existing when you die. Who cares about ‘intellectual crushing’ against the vast future of non-existence? Talk about not having your eyes on the prize. You need to figure out why you need to accumulate knowledge you can’t retain.

@jesse_k_fox @stackerco Hm. That’s a wise understanding of Jesus’s teachings by Elder Uchtdorf. I’m impressed As church members the thought is always that we must be the good shepherd going after the one who is lost, but yeah, that is Jesus’s role in the parable—not ours

@MensHumor How have your children not realized that sports, even water polo if broadcasted, will cut to T&A in the crowd whenever possible? How are your kids not like ‘oh, just some thot eye candy so you don’t have to go direct from Bill Gates to Larry David’?

@Primary_Pianist Oaks believes in heavenly mothers because he is on record correcting himself when he said heavenly mother… the only question is if he meant god has many wives and we are all half brothers, or some combination… or that two female ‘mother gods’ can form intelligences.

"Mormons believe X because of the King Follett Discourse." That's like defining Christianity by someone's notes from a pastor's conference sermon instead of the Bible. The King Follett Discourse is an important historical sermon, but it isn't a canonized section of scripture, and we don't even possess a word-for-word transcript.
John@6FLZyat4oG

@hvworlton @Primary_Pianist Words have specific meanings. What your interpretation of Joseph Smith's words? "God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens! That is the great secret."

@ThoughtfulSaint I think he means father god, and by extension the mother goddesses. Oaks corrected himself when he said mother, to mothers. Did he mean father god has many wives, or that some people have two mommies like my friend at school? It'd be a cool D&C 139 for Oaks to claim that!

@DavoustBaldPate @Primary_Pianist *four meaning father god, Jesus, Holy Spirit(who hasn't been made a man then god yet, really...) and heavenly mother(not sure if Joe knew of the plurality of mother gods Oaks is currently receiving revelation on)

@DavoustBaldPate @Primary_Pianist It was ongoing revelation, and then he was martyred, you brute. I imagine him responding to critics about plurality of gods: "What a thing it is for a prophet to be accused of teaching men can become gods, and having four already, when I can find only one!"

@Rog973521 @Primary_Pianist Especially since there are still mormonist claims that 'it was ongoing revelation, and was going to be clarified but he was martyred' I bet he'd say something like, 'They ask me if we can all become gods, well, I say, I can only find but one God!

@RestoredTruth8 @RigdonNancy3 Yeah, she missed Genesis 50:30 on Clearly Joseph is that prophet. I wish it would have gone on to say, and that prophet will defy the commandment of God, refuse to raise a seed, and be destroyed’ which would have been a total slam dunk

I don’t believe for a second the Mormons acting up all of a sudden has nothing to do with the Bricks and Minifigs story. They had one thing kinda going for them, which is everyone said, “At least they’re nice heretics.” Now that the current most popular documentary series on the internet exposed the theft and corruption they actually engage in within their communities, they lost the one thing that made people look past all the heresy and craziness.
