@taylorplusyou Prolly sit in peaceful silence. I'm not single, and I know what I do.

@bscholl I for one am pretty tired of the protectionist racket to protect the UAW.

Not a good sign that it’s cheaper to make the car in China and ship it across the Pacific Ocean to Canada… than it is to make it right here in North America.
US needs to work on the root causes of high cost structure.

Tesla has launched the Model 3 Premium AWD in Canada for $49,990 CAD ($36,000 USD) • 570 km range • 0-100 km/h in 4.4s • August-September Delivery • Made in Giga Shanghai

@Pompetousity @apbtmentality Oh yeah, that certainly justifies older people with limited motor skills to continue driving.
English

@sw970 @apbtmentality As an avid motorcyclist for 50 years, with a Ducati and a cruiser, old folks aren't the left turn problem I've encountered. A soccer mom in a van or an SUV, on the phone, every Fng time.
English

@Pompetousity @apbtmentality That’s what comes to mind every time I see them take the life of a motorcyclist with a left turn in front of them.
English

@bilalsattar @niccruzpatane @wholemars Seriously, who gives a darn about FSD streaks. I like to park in the boonies so nobody door dings my Ultra Red.
I invest in the long walk to the door, because exercise is good, and because I use Summon to bring it to me when I leave. It's the best of all worlds.
English

Stop losing your Tesla FSD streak to bad parking locations.
We all know FSD loves to park in the worst spots.
If you take over the wheel, you lose your streak. If you let it park, you waste time.
Here's the loophole:
1. Unbuckle your seatbelt right before it parks.
2. Take over when the car prompts you (no intervention penalty).
3. Buckle back up and park yourself.
Your streak stays alive.
See example below 👇🏼

@sw970 @apbtmentality Outta my way, I've got the FSD and Mad Max mode. We don't have time for you Neanderthal legacy car yoots.
English

I’ll potentially get slayed for this, don’t care.
A related question is how in the world are these blue-hairs even allowed to drive?
Even at the grocery I’ll see people with such limited motor skills they can barely navigate a shopping trip. There’s no way they can safely operate a motor vehicle.
People are arrested - rightfully so - for operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol because their ability is impaired. But we don’t limit for age or ability. TF?!

@DigitalDaisyX @Lord_Vader_MD Just bought 2 new model 3's, Pearl White and Ultra Red. I just added what the cost of putting PPF on, to the financial decision. Notoriously thin, soft paint because "Eco friendly" nonsense. Half the paint thickness of other leading brands. I don't WANT to spend $6K on plastic.
English

@Lord_Vader_MD Yeah good call. Swirls are more about how it’s washed than the car itself. It comes out pretty good once it’s done.
English

Have you tried Car Wash Mode?
Tesla’s Car Wash Mode is one of those little features you don’t appreciate until you use it. It closes the windows, locks the charge port, disables wipers, and helps protect the cameras and sensors from getting confused while going through the wash. Just tap Car Wash Mode and let the car handle the prep.

@CybertruckTexan Love my new model 3, test drove a cybertruck. Ugly as hell, drives nice, but 2 things stopped me. That bed cover will SUCK when the snow and ice fill the travel rails. And they need to engineer allowing the bed to extend into the cab. Silverado EV RST does it nicely.
English

🤠 Just had an awesome meeting this morning with a group of old-school “truck guys” — hardcore veterans in the commercial truck equipment industry.
Before the drive, they roasted the Cybertruck hard: “It’s stupid,” “Not a real truck,” “Ugly as hell,” all the usual complaints.
Then they got in.
After experiencing the insane acceleration, precise steer-by-wire handling, buttery air ride suspension, FSD, off-road capabilities, Toy Box features, versatile powered bed, and more… their minds were completely blown.
By the end they were absolute believers. They admitted they were totally wrong and now I’m gonna have to explain to their wives why they suddenly need new Cybertrucks 😂⚡
Nothing beats converting “real” truck guys on the spot.

@vikonomics101 @control_fiend Free tires and service? Tell me more!
English

@control_fiend Say you eat 1 rotisserie chicken per week to meet your prtein goals. So 52 chickens. Costco membership puts the cost at $6.30, which is still cheaper than any other place. Add on top the other savings you get - free tires and service, cheaper gas, cheaper items overall. So yes
English

@wholemars I test drove one. Miles of dashboard. Rear wall doesn't open to bed. Mechanical bed covers like this are a nightmare in winter, I've had one on an F450. It's 1/10 the fun and looks of a model 3 for 65% more $. I'm sick of trucks.
English

@DutchRojas Well, it absolutely prevented my wife from a horrible accident this weekend. In her brand new M3 Premium. It would have been a disaster, and it reacted quick and violently to avoid the smash.
English

I thought Tesla Full Self-Driving would make my commute easier.
I did not expect it to expose me as the problem.
Turns out I was not “driving defensively.”
I was conducting a one-man municipal audit of every idiot within 300 yards.
Someone going 40 in a 25?
I had notes.
Someone taking too long at a green light?
I had a full theory of civilizational decline.
Now the car drives and I just sit there like a reformed man.
No high blood pressure.
No death grip on the wheel.
No courtroom monologue about lane discipline.
My wife noticed immediately.
She said, “You’re way more chill in the car, I like this!”
That is when I realized Tesla didn’t just make the car drive itself.
It made me stop narrating the collapse of society from the driver’s seat.
